The friendships on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are always shifting, but when it comes to the current situation with Mary Cosby and Meredith Marks, everyone is a little confused. For the longest time, Meredith seemed like Mary’s only real friend in the cast, but in Season 5, the two are on the outs. You might even call it a full-blown feud, at this point.
These days, Mary has found herself closer to Whitney Rose and Angie Katsanevas. It’s a trio that none of us saw coming, and the switch-up has left Meredith feeling frustrated and “used.”
Did Mary Cosby leave Meredith Marks behind during RHOSLC Season 5?
Meredith spoke to Us Weekly about the confusing state of her friendship with Mary. Leading up to Season 5, we all heard that Mary had evolved, but apparently, Meredith is having a hard time wrapping her head around the changes. She said their feud this season came out of ‘left field.”
Meredith admitted, “I’m not sure I understand [the feud] myself. I’m not really sure what the problem was. Maybe I’ll understand when I watch it. Maybe I’ll understand in three years when I rewatch it.”
For now, Meredith theorized that Mary started attacking her because she finally felt comfortable with the other women in the group. She felt like when Mary became more integrated with the rest of the RHOSLC cast, she suddenly turned her back.
Meredith explained, “I didn’t think there were any outstanding issues, and then suddenly when she’s feeling comfortable with the other women who she hadn’t had a comfort zone with, anyone other than me for the last few years, all of a sudden then it’s like I got attacked.”
She continued, “That feels like I was used for the past three years because why all of a sudden when you’re comfortable, I don’t understand why you’re coming after me.”
With that said. Meredith isn’t sitting around plotting on the downfall of Mary’s friendships with Angie and Whitney. In an ideal world, Meredith said she just wants them to all have peace. It’s a sweet sentiment, even if the chances of that are slim to none.
Meredith asserted, “I like to see everyone get along. I’m not rooting against anyone.”
