Yolanda Foster and her husband, composer David Foster, seemed to have the perfect marriage on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Then she contracted Lyme Disease, and her health deteriorated. As you may recall, some of her RHOBH co-stars alleged that she was faking the illness to get attention. Shout out to Lisa Rinna for doubting her co-star! Eventually, Yolanda and David got a divorce, and he married Katharine McPhee. The American Idol contestant was a bit younger than David, and now there are reports that the duo is having marital problems.
Why are Katharine McPhee and David Foster in couples therapy?
After all, David has been married a total of five times. Katharine and David have an age gap of 34 years. After tying the knot in 2019, they welcomed their son in 2021. This is Katharine’s first child, and David has five other children.
However, now the duo has reportedly entered couples therapy. “Katharine and David were eager to learn the tools they need to better communicate. They found a counselor who was recommended by friends,” an insider told Life & Style. “Now they are working hard to build a stronger relationship.”
It seems that their age difference is allegedly playing a role in their issues. “They sometimes have no common ground and often argue from perspectives that are miles apart,” the source said. One flashpoint? How to discipline and raise their son.
Reportedly, David and Katharine have taken advantage of these new skills. “Many couples allow their small troubles to turn to larger ones,” the insider said. “But there is a right and a wrong way to deal with those issues, and the right way is to seek help!”
Of course, I am still sus of David since Yolanda claimed that he left her because she was ill with Lyme Disease. Later, David denied this but has never revealed why the duo pulled the plug on their marriage.
