With the success of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, it is safe to assume that a second season is coming our way. It also helps that Hulu has acknowledged a renewal, so I am not just a writer with magical fortune-teller powers. The Season 1 finale left us on a cliffhanger as the entire group of MomTokers unfriended Whitney Leavitt in one fell swoop/press of a button. But in a not-so-shocking turn of events, Taylor Frankie Paul just revealed she might be single again, and right now, I need Hulu producers to start working overtime.

Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen might be toxic for one another

Might be? Fans need Hulu and a camera as soon as possible, as Taylor just dropped a bomb that will be the perfect storyline for Season 2. During the epic premiere season, Taylor shared her complicated story with love as she revealed she was once married. However, Taylor couldn’t keep her libido down, and instead of just soft-swinging with friends, she went all the way. The move broke her contract with her husband and led the couple to a divorce. But the influencer bounced back and soon revealed that she was dating Dakota Mortensen, the same man she had cheated with. Season 1 didn’t cast Dakota in the brightest of lights. The Mormon/first-time father seemed to be out of his depth when dating Taylor. He tried to cling to the traditional ways, but Taylor just seemed like an unbridled soul that couldn’t be tamed.

The two were often caught fighting, and viewers didn’t have hope for their future. The pair were caught in a domestic violence altercation, which led to Taylor’s arrest. Even though there were cute moments shared between the duo, like watching Dakota train to change his first diaper, neither were on the same page. Dakota wanted to be married, but Taylor wasn’t about to be tied down.

Stop the presses! Last week, Taylor gave a much-needed update on her relationship with Dakota, which isn’t looking good. Taylor shared with Us Weekly that after Dakota watched the series, the two started to go through a rough patch. Taylor told the outlet, “I would say we’re working on things, and I actually have no idea where it goes with us from here. We are not fully together, but not fully done. I don’t know what the future holds with him and I.” Basically what viewers are hearing is that it’s a break rather than a fully-fledged split as of right now.

It doesn’t feel like Taylor regrets much in life, and she shared that she would do the show again. However, Dakota was less than impressed with his portrayal. According to Taylor, “He has a really good soft side, and I feel like that wasn’t shown on the show. He’s like, ‘I look like this ass to you while you’re pregnant, when that’s just not the case of how I treated you the whole time. Yes, I did defend myself in some cases, but that’s not how I am to you. I look like this awful person when I’m not.’”

There were rumors about Dakota Mortensen’s faithfulness, or lack thereof

Long before the former couple decided to take a break, Taylor had suspicions about whether there was any potential overlap between her and another woman Dakota had been seeing as they started to date. This issue was at the crux of most of their arguments, but Dakota denied ever being unfaithful. But episode after episode showed Taylor feeling miserable and saying they had multiple trust issues. The final episode showed Mayci Neeley going straight to the source as she called Jenna, the other woman. As the cameras fade to black, Jenna can be heard saying, “I’ll tell you everything.”

The last time these two were snapped together was on September 13th while in New York City. In an eerie coincidence, Taylor also posted a TikTok the same day with the caption, “Not girls coming out of the woodworks about their past with ‘Dakota.’” Mormon MomTok drama is the gift that keeps giving, and we all need more of it. As I sit here writing, I am vigorously refreshing my social media to wait for another update. If Hulu doesn’t restart the cameras, I fear they will lose a major plotline for Season 2, and no one wants that.
