Over the years, we’ve watched Dolores Catania unapologetically “play Switzerland” on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. It seems like a noble cause, but according to Jennifer Aydin, there’s more to it. She just insinuated that Dolores’ middle-of-the-road approach is less about neutrality and more about desperation.
Jennifer made the surprising claim during a recent podcast appearance. It’s just another example of how the rumors of a full-on RHONJ reboot are sending these ladies into a spiral.
Is Dolores Catania relying on RHONJ?
At this point, no one knows who will be returning for RHONJ Season 15. The rumors are flying left and right, and no one is being calm about any of it. On any given Bravo podcast, the ladies have been sharing theories about the future of the show. A couple of them have admitted that their egos would be bruised if they weren’t asked back.
Meanwhile, Jennifer has maintained that she isn’t worried about coming back to the show. She previously told an outlet that if she didn’t get asked back, she’d simply go back to “counting” her “Ferraris”. However, she knows all of her costars can’t say the same.
During a recent interview, Jennifer called out Dolores for her reliance on RHONJ. According to Monsters and Critics, Jennifer said Dolores just really needs to stay on the show, and that’s why she’s always riding the fence. She’s got bills to pay like the rest of us.
“Sometimes Dolores doesn’t want to get involved, but that has nothing to do with anybody other than Dolores,” Jennifer explained.
“She needs this job,” she continued. “She doesn’t want to get involved; it doesn’t have to pertain to her cause it’s already a stressful job, to begin with.”
Regardless of Dolores’ motives for staying neutral, Jennifer asserted that Dolores would always be loyal to Teresa Giudice. Even when it looks like Dolores is playing both sides of the fence, she’ll always go back to Tre.
Jennifer explained, “She has foundation with Teresa. They know each other 20 years back.”
