After they filmed Season 2 of The Traitors, it seemed like they had a romance blossoming, but neither of them ever directly addressed the chemistry. So, during a recent episode of WWHL, a virtual fan tried their hardest to get to the bottom of it.
What happened between Ekin-Su and Peter Weber?
The rumors about a fling between Ekin-Su and Pilot Pete started almost immediately after Ekin-Su drank that poison on The Traitors. Peter’s mom started leaving all sorts of cutesy comments on Ekin-Su’s Instagram. After that, they posed for a picture together along with Peter’s sister-in-law. It seemed like a hometown visit taken straight out of The Bachelor.
Then, when Ekin-Su went to London to fail miserably at Celebrity Big Brother, Peter was stateside showing her support. In an interview at the time, he called her his “best friend” and a “special girl.” With an answer like that, it’s like he just wanted to pour gas on the fire.
Finally, during a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, a virtual caller tried to get to the bottom of the romance rumors. They straight up asked if the two Traitors stars had a “fling.” Of course, Ekin-Su struggled to give a straightforward answer, but we know how to read between the lines.
“Well, I was in a relationship at the time,” Ekin-Su said after taking a moment to think through the question.
She continued, “We’re very close, and that’s all I can say.”
What a tease, right? Although Ekin-Su’s answer was a little dodgy, the grin on her face said it all. Even if it wasn’t a “fling,” it was certainly something.
