During Season 18 of the Real Housewives of Orange County, star Shannon Beador is driving the struggle bus. She is trying to handle the fallout from her DUI. Plus, her ex-boyfriend is simultaneously dating her co-star Alexis Bellino and suing her for $75,000. Her ex, John Janssen claimed that she borrowed the money for a facelift. So, when news broke that Shannon was part of a new dating show on Peacock, I hoped that Shannon would find love again. Instead, host and comedian Joel Kim Booster alleged that Shannon was incredibly difficult on set.
Joel Kim Booster called Shannon Beador “a pathetic drunk”
Bravo fans were thrilled to learn that eligible bachelorettes Shannon, Luann de Lesseps, Ashley Darby, and Gizelle Bryant were cast on a dating show. The show has the working title Love Hotel and was filmed in Cabo San Lucas. But Joel wasn’t happy with Shannon’s behavior.
Queens of Bravo shared Joel’s posts from his Instagram Stories. The posts have since been deleted. “Just because you’re a pathetic drunk on a reality television show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI does not make you a star and does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman. Period,” he wrote. “They will make me delete this, but DM me if you’d like to see videos.”
Then Joel posted a follow-up. “Well, that was quick,” he posted, seemingly referencing that he’d been asked to remove the post. “Anyway. Don’t regret it. Hope you screenshot it. Hope she suffers,” he added. Finally, Joel wrote, “Well, let’s just say I can’t imagine what John Janssen went through. Poor guy.” I’m sure John is probably liking his post right now. What in the holy hell did Shannon do? I can’t imagine.
Joel continued to bash Shannon
But Joel was not done! He then reportedly hopped on Instagram Live to continue allegedly attacking Shannon. The account @bravohistorian reported, “He just went on live and COOKED Shannon Beador, like he roasted her, chopped her up, and served her for breakfast. Said she has been a TERROR for the entire three weeks, humiliates the crew, was hideous to him, and that at the wrap part just a few hours ago she was terrible to someone he really loves.” WHOA.
The fan account added, “And he got in her face and said, ‘You think you’re a star? People don’t like you, they pity you.’ And then he said, the daughters are just as bad.” Wow.
I am stunned by the venom in his rant. While RHOC fans were upset that Tamra was mean to Shannon, this is a whole other level. Of course, we don’t have Shannon’s side of the story … yet.
Love Hotel doesn’t have a premiere date yet. Real Housewives of Orange County airs every Thursday at 9/8c on Bravo.
