One of the couples getting the most attention on Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars is model Brooks Nader and Gleb Savchenko. And not only because of their steamy dancing. The duo seems to enjoy each other’s company. But they are sending viewers mixed messages about the nature of their relationship.
Brooks Nader says that she and Gleb Savchenko are “having a really nice time”
Rumors that the dancing couple was more than a showmance got louder after Gleb and Brooks were reportedly caught kissing backstage. Then a DWTS insider claimed that the duo was “hooking up.” Plus those sexy TikToks aren’t dispelling any romance rumors.
So, what is happening in that ballroom? Brooks addressed the gone viral backstage kissing PDA. She told Extra, “Who wouldn’t want to make out with Gleb?” It’s a fair question. Just ask Lisa Vanderpump.
When the interviewer called them “a beautiful couple,” Brooks slammed on the brakes. “We’re a dance couple for now. We’re not in a relationship,” she said. “I have so many mixed feelings about it. I’m newly single, so we’re having a really nice time.” Brooks and Billy Haire, her husband, split a few months ago.
However, Brooks made it plain that she and Gleb are not a showmance, aka a fake romance. “Everything that you see like online and on TikTok or whatever is real. There’s nothing fake about it,” the model explained. “I’m not a fake girl.”
Then Brooks discussed when the two first knew that they connected. “I’m like a vibe person and Gleb has an amazing vibe and he has great energy and he really wants me to have a great experience with Dancing with the Stars,” Brooks said. “He’s very focused on that.”
She continued, “He’s just an amazing teacher and it’s not a bad gig for me either to spend like six hours a day just sweating and rehearsing with him … It’s fantastic.” However, Brooks still wants DWTS fans to notice their dancing. “I really want people to take me seriously as a dancer because I’m actually working really hard to learn the routines,” Brooks said. “So, I want people to focus on that, too.”
Dancing with the Stars Season 33 will return with two episodes on Monday, October 7, and Tuesday, October 8 at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+.
