Only three episodes in, and Sister Wives Season 19 has already dropped a couple of breadcrumbs that have filled fans with anticipation. Kody Brown recently revealed that he was hoping to stay friends with his ex-wife, Meri Brown. However, his words don’t exactly match his actions since, for years, he has been keeping her at arm’s length. Meri is done being dragged along and has a message of her own for the father of 18.
Kody Brown can’t handle another enemy
The patriarch of the polygamous family is still lamenting over his three fractured marriages. And wondering, ‘Where did it all go wrong?’ During Sunday’s September 29th episode, Kody spoke about his high hopes for a future with Meri. As Sister Wives viewers know, the former couple called it quits on their three-decade marriage back in January 2023 after years of unrest. After some time to think, he contemplated his union with Meri. He shared, “I think if I were single and Meri was single, would I date her? No, I wouldn’t. She is upset that I’ve dragged this out so long. I don’t blame her.”
Kody added, “I’m looking at this triple breakup like Christine’s, then Janelle, and now Meri. I don’t want Meri to be in this place where she’s taking this toll. This direction that both Christine and Janelle have taken. Oh, yeah, ‘I need one more enemy right now.'” According to Kody, “That’s why I’m trying to be in this place with Meri where it’s like, ‘Hey, can we just be friends and move on?'” Kody is currently on the outs with Janelle and Christine. On the other hand, Meri has no desire to be friends as she is moving on with her life out in Utah, far away from Kody’s mind games.
