Well, fans of our favorite Mormon mom influencers – your prayers have been answered! The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is going to pick up where it left off. And that is a good thing because there were too many cliffhangers at the end of Season 1!
Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is getting a Season 2!
TMZ reported that Hulu’s smash new series has been given the green light for Season 2. Insiders claim that the cast will begin filming soon, and pre-production is already taking place in Utah.
The show, which was Hulu’s top unscripted premiere of 2024, is returning with the same cast. That means more of Demi Engemann, Jen Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Taylor Frankie Paul, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, and Whitney Leavitt. I’m glad the entire cast is returning because there were some big questions left unanswered.
And I’d like to say kudos to these ladies for bringing home the bacon for their families. They were all part of a content creation group MomTok, which Taylor started. However, Taylor blew up the internet, and MomTok, when she announced she was getting a divorce from her husband Tate Paul. And that “soft swinging” was involved.
During the first season finale, Whitney decided to leave MomTok and possibly pursue homesteading. Plus there was more drama in the group. Jen’s husband, Zac Affleck, threatened to divorce her because she nearly went to a Chippendales show. During the finale, Zac convinced Jen to exit MomTok and move to New York.
Meanwhile, Whitney’s hubby has a porn addiction, and Mayci launched her business on the show. However, Taylor’s rocky relationship with Dakota Mortensen has taken a turn for the worse. In the Season 1 finale, she gave birth to their son, Ever True. Right now, the couple seems to be taking some time apart to breathe.
Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is streaming on Hulu.
