Since day one, Brandi Glanville has been one of the most polarizing characters who ever graced a Real Housewives franchise. When fans first met her, it was clear Brandi had a flair for the dramatics. She often found herself in the middle of fights and stirring the pot. To this day, she is the only person who could slap Lisa Vanderpump across the face. However, Brandi’s presence has also brought a dark energy to some of her seasons. She wasn’t kind when calling out Kim Richards’ drinking problem. And she definitely wasn’t being nice when she outed Adrienne Maloof for using a surrogate. So, as Brandi’s lawsuit gets drug back up, it is important to look at all the information as we try to figure out why her lawyers might have left her high and dry.
Brandi Glanville’s lawsuit against Bravo explained
In January 2023, People reported that Brandi and Caroline Manzo had swiftly exited the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip after an unwanted incident took place. While filming in Morocco, an insider revealed that Brandi had taken the flirting too far with Caroline and kissed her multiple times without the RHONJ star’s consent. According to the source at the time, “It was unwanted. And Caroline’s distress over the matter did not seem to stop Brandi.”
Almost a year later, Caroline chose to sue Bravo and its affiliated companies — NBCUniversal, Shed Media, Forest Productions, Warner Bros. Entertainment, and Peacock TV — for “encouraging” and “allowing” Brandi to sexually harass her. Brandi wasn’t named in the suit, but that didn’t stop the former actress from taking the filing personally. Brandi proceeded to file her own lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen. In February 2024, Brandi’s lawyers, Bryan Freedman, and Mark Geragos, wrote a letter to NBC, Shed Media, and Warner Bros, which accused Andy of sexually harassing Brandi in a video sent to her back in 2022. Brandi claimed she had been severely depressed and lost out on work.
Brandi Glanville’s lawyers leave her out in the cold
The letter read, “Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career. This was an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted,” her attorney said earlier this year. “It is inconceivable that Mr. Cohen remains in his post in spite of this behavior and harkens back to the bad old days of Matt Lauer and NBC News when profits were prioritized over people.” Brandi alleged that in the clip, the Bravo kingpin said he wanted to “sleep with another Bravo star” while “thinking” about her. In the same letter, Brandi also claimed that Andy had invited her to watch him have sex on FaceTime.
On Monday, Brandi took to X to complain about her legal case. In a now-deleted post, she shared that her lawyers had quit. Brandi wrote via Page Six, “I mean, you cannot write this sh*t! (I guess I’m doing that now.) After a YEAR of telling me how rich I was about to be & how strong my case against BRAVO is, my ‘lawyers’ have decided I now don’t have a case & cut ties with me.” The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum added, “#paid off maybe ?!? allegedly.”
Brandi Glanville isn’t the only Bravo star suing the network
Neither of Brandi’s former lawyers have responded with a comment as to why they decided to drop her as a client. But Brandi isn’t alone in her fight against the conglomerate. Bethenny Frankel has launched her reality TV reckoning. She gave Rachel Leviss a platform after Scandoval and single-handedly burned every bridge she once had. Leah McSweeney accused the production team of “engaging in guerrilla-type psychological warfare intended to pressurize her into a psychological break and cause her to relapse.”
In April 2022, NeNe Leakes filed a lawsuit in Atlanta federal court accusing Bravo of creating a racist work environment. Even though Brandi has been dropped by her representation, she isn’t a woman who gives up easily. She has yet to share her next steps, but fans can only assume she is looking for a new set of lawyers.
