Fans were rejoicing that our favorite Mormon mom influencers are coming back. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives nabbed a second season. But will the entire cast be back? There are some doubts that one of the standouts, Jen Affleck, will be part of Season 2.
Will Jen Affleck come back to Utah for Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives?
As you may recall, Jen was open about her marital difficulties with Zac Affleck. He threatened to divorce her for going to Chippendales. Poor Jen didn’t even stay for the show. Plus, he claimed that his family was related to Hollywood superstar Ben Affleck and his brother, Casey Affleck. It seems that isn’t true.
During The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives finale, Jen called Jessi Ngatikaura and said that she was leaving MomTok. “Jen told me that she’s leaving MomTok because of Zac. He doesn’t want her associated with us,” Jessi explained to Demi Engemann. “I am really sad that this is just a continuous pattern that’s not getting better.” Then the show cut to Jen and Zac in New York City, where he was accepted to medical school. That would be quite a commute for Jen.
An insider told PEOPLE that Jen is in Utah now. However, we don’t know if she is filming for the series, or is even an official cast member. Plus, Zac and Jen sold their house in Utah, adding to doubts that she is part of the cast.
PEOPLE contacted Hulu for comment but did not hear back.
There is further confirmation that the show may be filming without Jen. Her co-star Mayci Neeley posted a video on Instagram to announce Season 2. The entire cast posed for individual photos in the video, but there were blank spaces with the names “Jen” and “Whitney [Leavitt].” She captioned the video, “Season 2 of @secretlivesonhulu coming to Hulu Spring 2025.” Whitney is also a big question mark since she officially left MomTok in the Season 1 finale.
I really hope that Jen will be part of the cast for Season 2. She bravely displayed the cracks in her marriage and showed her struggles within the group since she is a devout Mormon.
