Report: Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev ‘Were Verbally Abusive Towards Each Other’

Content warning: This article contains discussions of alleged domestic abuse and assault.

Were Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev verbally abusive toward one another? One insider would claim yes. However, claims continue to fly in the case of the Dancing with the Stars alums.

Nikki recently shared her side of the story in a sworn declaration. She alleged that Artem “tackled [her] multiple times and pinned [her] to the ground” with their child present.

However, Artem’s lawyer claimed that Nikki was the aggressor in their relationship. As such, Artem filed for a protective order and showed proof of his alleged injuries. So, where do the claims go from there? Nowhere better.

Nikki Garcia and Artem Chigvintsev’s “physical allegations” were not “shocking” to friends

A source close to Artem and Nikki recently spoke to Life & Style about the relationship pre-split. “Friends are starting to talk, most say it was no secret that Nikki and Artem disagreed a lot and butted heads often,” the source said. “They were verbally abusive towards each other and while the physical allegations were surprising, it wasn’t necessarily shocking to learn.”

The source also added, “It’s become a he-said, she-said situation and neither one of them is backing down.” The insider’s claims only add to the he-said, she-said dynamic. There isn’t any easy way to fact-check the claim that Nikki and Artem might have been verbally abusive towards each other. In fact, most claims related to Nikki and Artem are difficult to fact-check.

We can say with certainty that Artem was arrested on suspicions of domestic violence. However, he was not charged after his arrest. Shortly thereafter, Nikki split from Artem and filed for divorce. Those are the major facts of the matter as they stand. Everything else is alleged.
