Political lobbyist and beauty queen, Bismah Ahmed can do it all. Despite her many talents, she couldn’t quite make it to the finish line on the debut season of The Anonymous. She put up a good fight, but in Season 1, Episode 10, Nina Twine sent her packing, all while going undetected in Anonymous Mode.

With the election coming up, this Washington D.C. native has her hands full right now. But, Reality Tea had the chance to catch up with her in between her day job of getting laws passed in the United States. She dished about her frustrating elimination and why she firmly believes The Anonymous deserves a reunion.

Obviously, it isn’t fun getting eliminated from a competitive reality TV show. But, getting eliminated and then having a ton of lingering questions? That’s just straight-up annoying, and unfortunately, Bismah has found herself in that boat.

Bismah explained, “[The Anonymous] needs a reunion because I have to talk to a lot of people and ask them, ‘Why were you saying so much and not saying it to me?'”

She continued, “I want to hear the logic behind some of your decisions and really question them because, to me, I still don’t understand.”

One thing Bismah said she couldn’t wrap her head around was the decision to boot her from the game and not the couple, Christopher Shulstad and Victoria Vesce. Week after week, the players danced around the idea in the Anonymous Mode chat. Bismah felt like this round would have been the perfect opportunity to get one of them out.

“That’s why I was so shocked going home because I thought, ‘Okay, this is the perfect chance to get Christopher,'” Bismah recalled.

When Bismah watched the rest of Episode 10 on TV, she also felt confused about why some of the other players blamed Lilly Jenkins for eliminating her. She had a hard time following the “logic” behind certain folks’ thought processes.

Bismah added, “I was like, ‘Really? You really thought Lilly would eliminate me?”’

For the first few weeks of The Anonymous, it seemed like there was a plot to specifically target the women in the game. When Bismah and Victoria arrived on the scene, the ladies all banded together to form an alliance. That didn’t work out well, and Bismah said it was “tough” to watch the alliance fall apart.

“It was tough. It was really tough. I’m going to be honest, I thought Nina was with it. Maybe I should have checked in with her a little bit more.”

On the other hand, there were some people in the alliance that she knew she couldn’t trust from the jump. One of those being Victoria. Although they both entered the game at the same time, Bismah felt confident that she couldn’t trust her fellow newbie thanks to her showmance with Chris. Deep down, she knew Chris was the one playing as Lipstick and targeting her in the chat.

Bismah explained, “I was always a little shaky about Victoria because I was like, ‘I can’t get close to you because whatever I tell you is going to go back to him.'”

One person in the alliance that Bismah knew she could trust was Lilly. Their friendship might not have been shown much on screen, but Bismah said it became known in the house that they were besties. That’s another reason why Bismah didn’t understand why people blamed Lilly for her elimination.

“Lilly was always my Day 1. I never questioned Lilly,” Bismah asserted.

According to Bismah, their friendship likely didn’t get a lot of camera time because they were intentionally trying not to seem too buddy-buddy. They knew they had each other’s backs, but they wanted to make sure they had other relationships in the house, too. Smart move.

In Episode 9, before Nina won the power of The Anonymous, we heard her criticizing Bismah in a confessional for not making enough connections in the house. According to Nina, Bismah was scrambling at the last minute to try to make connections. Bismah saw her time in the game a little differently.

“Of course she said that,” Bismah quipped. “For me, it’s like I wasn’t giving you information, and that was because Christopher let me know what she said that Jack [Usher] was trying to get Victoria out.”

Bismah continued, “I was like, ‘Girl. Me, you, and Jack have had several conversations.’ So now, I know I can’t trust you. I’m not about to tell you anything.”

On top of that, Bismah said she remembered how, on her first night, Dillian Frelow went off on Chris based on something Nina said. She could sense the messiness and intentionally tried to distance herself.

“She was right that I was definitely withholding from her but for good reason,” Bismah explained. “I just was not trying to get in the mix with rumors because I saw the trend.”

What’s next for Bismah?

While some of the players on The Anonymous are reality TV champions and professional gamers, Bismah made it clear in our chat that she had no plans of leaving her day job, or at least not yet! The Anonymous might have just been a fun little detour on her journey, and she’s enjoyed the reaction from her colleagues.

“It’s very cool,” Bismah said about watching the show back. “You don’t see people in politics doing reality shows.”

In the meantime, you can catch her on Instagram or somewhere in Washington D.C. trying to get a law passed. Somehow, that might be easier than trying to win The Anonymous.

The Anonymous continues on USA Network, Monday nights at 10/9c.
