Season 4 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht was a lot, both for the crew and the viewers. Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher and Engineer Colin MacRae seemed to have a good thing going — until Daisy’s past with First Mate Gary King came to light, that is.
As soon as Colin found out that Daisy had slept with Gary in between Seasons 3 and 4 and kept it from him, the news blew up their relationship. They attempted to work things out, but by the time the Season 4 reunion rolled around, Colin was already seeing someone else. This made for a pretty messy reunion, which included lots of tears (Daisy’s) and recriminations all around. Fans (by which I mean me) were pretty upset with Gary for spilling the beans and ruining Daisy and Colin’s relationship.

With only two days between filming the reunion and the start of Season 5, emotions were still raw at the beginning of the season. Daisy was still hurting, but rather than wanting to talk everything out, Gary just wanted to “sweep things under the rug.” Sadly, Daisy says she went into the season “feeling like everyone hated me.”
“I [did] hold onto that anger for a while,” she told ET. “It was hard for me to get my head back in the game.”
“I tried to stay angry at Gary for a long time,” she added. She also admitted to feeling “regret” that she wasn’t able to control her “heightened emotions” better, but “it is what it is.”
When the interviewer asked how her relationship with Gary is now, Daisy said, “We’re fine. I think it’s very similar to [her relationship with] Colin … If he ever needed anything, I’m there … But we live very separate lives.”
