For some strange reason, Jenna Lyons has made a point to keep her girlfriend Cass Bird away from Real Housewives of New York. It’s an unusual decision for a show about women’s lives and relationships, but somehow, Bravo is letting her get away with it.
Although we won’t see Cass on Season 15 of RHONY, Jenna recently explained to Bravo how her girlfriend still had a role in creating some of her “best moments.” According to Jenna, her biggest highlights of the season came thanks to Cass’ mom Nancy. Try not to yawn too hard hard.
Nancy to the rescue
Jenna touched on her relationship with Nancy and Cass during an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish. She had nothing but positive things about her relationship with Cass but reiterated that we wouldn’t see it on the show.
“I’m in a relationship, and that has been great. My life is great. I mean, I’m very happy,” Jenna explained.
“[Cass is] adorable and fun, and she’s a photographer. So, she wants to be behind the camera and not in front of it, so you won’t necessarily see her,” Jenna continued. “But her mom appears on the show, which was literally the most fun I’ve had It was one of my best moments of the entire season. She’s straight out of central casting… so cute.”
We got to see a glimpse of Nancy during the RHONY Season 15 premiere, which felt odd considering we’ve yet to see Cass. Meanwhile, rumors are floating around that Jenna and Cass secretly got married. It’s a big chunk of Jenna’s life we aren’t seeing, but she’s hoping Nancy can fill in the blanks.
“Nancy is my girlfriend Cass’s mother, and this visit is the first time she and I have ever met,” Jenna said in a confessional. “She’s been funny and lovely and sharing stories about Cass. It’s been — it’s been awesome.”
In the episode, Nancy helped Jenna clean out old shoes from her closet. Hopefully, this wasn’t one of the “best moments” Jenna was describing. There has to be more to the storyline than just shuffling around old shoes, right?
