Just because Karen Huger helped bring Stacey Rusch into the fold on The Real Housewives of Potomac doesn’t mean she’s safe from the Grande Dame’s shade. In a recent interview, Karen simply could not stop reading Stacey, signaling that the two of them are going to have some trouble later on this season.
In particular, Karen was having a hard time wrapping her head around Stacey’s relationship. If Karen and Ray Huger’s marriage is an institution, what does that make Stacey and her man?

In the RHOP Season 9 premiere, Stacey revealed she separated from her husband and began dating a man named Thomas Anthony Jones, aka TJ. They met through her job at QVC, and she later shared they were celibate. It’s a concept that the Grande Dame simply can’t bet behind.
“Well, they’re not married. It was a sexless relationship,” Karen recently quipped to Us Weekly.
She continued, “There’s a difference. I’m married. Twenty-eight years. Praise the Lord. Shout-out to Ray.”
During Episode 2, Stacey explained that TJ was a “devout Christian” and predicted that they were headed toward an eventual marriage. These days, it’s not clear if they’re even still together. Karen had some thoughts about that, too.
“I read that from the jump,” Karen said. “It’s over, isn’t it? Stay tuned.”
We will certainly stay tuned, and we’ll also be tuning in to see what caused this rift between Karen and Stacey. Clearly, there’s some bad blood there because Karen also took a shot at Stacey’s exit from QVC.
“Was it a transition or a rejection? Let us see. I’m just saying,” Karen teased.
Despite all of the shade, Karen did give props to all of the new cast members for delivering a good season. She said the “daggers” between her and Stacey made for phenomenal TV, so we have something to look forward to in Potomac.
Karen teased, “I cannot say that these new girls didn’t step up to the plate, and I’m excited to see what they do in the future. You have to stay tuned.”
