Last night’s episode of Real Housewives of New York was a lesson in letting go. The women gathered in Erin’s Hamptons abode where they exchanged gifts and mended fractured friendships. Kinda. What happened on Real Housewives of New York Season 15, Episode 3?
The women arrived in the Hamptons eager to unwind and enjoy a much-needed break from the city. The trip was a walk in the park compared to last year. The women didn’t complain about the temperature of Erin’s home, nor did they lament about the lack of food. I would call that a success! Overall, the episode was relatively calm. Sai and Brynn cleared the air, Jenna gifted Jessel lingerie that she actually liked, and Erin finally made enough food. Still, Ubah was there to keep the temperature HOT on the drama scale.

Drama in the Hamptons
It wouldn’t be a RHONY girls’ trip without a little drama. The first bout of tension occurred before half the cast had even arrived. Erin wasted no time informing Sai and Ubah that Racquel felt as though Sai had cut her from the carpool. According to Raquel, she told Sai she gets carsick and would not be able to drive with them unless she could be in the driver seat. She told Erin that Sai did not grant this request, so she had to drive alone.
Sai was quick to pull out the screenshots that proved she did not ditch the newbie and was willing to coordinate driving plans. When Racquel arrived, Sai confronted her about the carpool drama. The whole thing was a big misunderstanding. Sai interpreted Racquel’s “I need to drive” text as her saying she wanted to drive separately, but in actuality, Racquel was asking if she could be drive Sai’s car.
I’m Team Sai on this one. It is about bold to ask a new friend to drive their car.
Sai and Brynn work things out
After the girls settled in, Sai and Brynn sat down for a peace talk. Sai explained she was hurt that Brynn told Jenna she hated her. Brynn, eager to put an end to the she said/she said game, called over Jenna to explain her side of the story.
Jenna said that while Brynn may have been one of the people who told her about Sai’s trash-talking, there were many others. Sai continued to press Brynn about her involvement, which didn’t go over so well. Brynn started yelling at Sai for fixating on her involvement and not worrying about the other people who told Jenna the same story. Sai put an end to the peace talk and exited the room.
Brynn decided to take the highroad and surprised her former friend with a truce in the form of a hug. Sai accepted the gesture. I guess this means they’re friends again? It’s hard to tell with these two.
The Real Housewives of New York gift exchange
If you watched Season 14 of RHONY, you know Jenna loves gifts. In last night’s episode, Erin attempted to upstage “the gifter” by giving all the women custom gift baskets. Unfortunately, Jenna was ten steps ahead. She pulled out boxes full of lingerie for all the women.
She poked fun at Jessel’s Season 14 lingerie meltdown by giving her a Christmas tree costume instead of sexy apparel. If you know, you know. Lucky for Jessel, Jenna had a second gift for her. She followed up the joke gift with a gorgeous, black lingerie set. Unlike last year, Jessel was pleased with the apparel (thankfully). She did not storm around the house talking about how ugly she looked in Jenna’s gift.
After presents, the women headed to dinner to catch-up and get to know the new cast members. Racquel was the first victim. The women asked her about her cool fiancée, Mel Corpus. She shared the story of their engagement, telling the ladies Mel popped the question during a motorcycle ride with friends. She also showed off her giant and unique engagement ring, which stunned all the women. She’s definitely one of the coolest housewives the franchise has ever had.
Friend-of Rebecca also shared some wild stories. She spoke about how she dated a guy to get access to a great New York apartment and revealed how she lost her virginity as a teenager. She told the girls her parents allowed her to go on birth control as a teenager if she promised to stay away from drugs. It seemed like a pretty fair deal to me but the women were horrified. Really? Aren’t these the women who were talking about having sex in public last year?
Ubah calls Brynn a pigeon
Episode 3 ended with Ubah going off on Brynn. The conversation began with Ubah trying to explain why Sai felt isolated from the group. She said the group twists her words and uses her as a pawn. Brynn jumped in, asking Ubah why she was acting as Sai’s spokesperson. The comment clearly triggered Ubah, who responded by telling Brynn to “Shut the f*ck up.” Yikes.
The comment resulted in Ubah going on a rant about how everyone is “a pigeon,” accusing them of spreading rumors and misinformation. She directed most of her anger at Brynn, who she deemed the “biggest pigeon in the group” and described as “a snake that you don’t see coming.”
The argument ended when Sai yelled, “pineapple,” which made Ubah stop ranting. I am so confused. Did they establish that beforehand as some kind of safe word? The fight ended but something tells me the Brynn/Ubah feud will continue … Anyway, that’s what you missed on Tuesday’s episode of Real Housewives of New York Season 15.
