We’re still being haunted by Caroline Manzo’s accusations against Brandi Glanville. Not only did it completely derail any chances of us seeing Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morrocco, but now, it looks like the situation might have played a role in sinking Brandi’s legal case against Bravo.
All roads lead back to Caroline Manzo
Last year, Brandi shocked the Bravoverse when she lawyered up with Bryan Freedman and Mark Geragos. They sent a legal letter to Andy Cohen and the network. In the letter, they warned of an impending lawsuit where they accused Andy of sexual harassment. That lawsuit never happened, and earlier this month, Brandi said her lawyers mysteriously dropped the case.
“After a YEAR of telling me how rich I was about to be & how strong my case against BRAVO is my ‘lawyers’ have decided I now don’t have a case [and] cut ties with me. #paid off maybe ?!? allegedly,” Brandi wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
According to a new report from Page Six, the lawyers weren’t necessarily paid off. Instead, they decided to leave the case because of all of the drama associated with Caroline’s RHUGT claims. Insiders close to the firm said that Brandi didn’t have much of a case, but then the ongoing drama with Caroline made things way too messy.
“These public liabilities complicated the situation and certainly did not encourage Bravo to take her claims seriously,” the source claimed.
Why Brandi Glanville and her team are furious
According to insiders close to Brandi, she and her team are upset with the whole situation because they feel like they were misled by the lawyers. Brandi had been supposedly been advised that if she “kept her head down” she would have a better chance at winning. So, she stopped taking Cameo and requests and paused all of her media appearances. Now, she’s running out of money.
Meanwhile, Brandi previously blamed her lack of employment on Bravo. Plus, she’s been navigating ongoing health issues, including facial disfigurement, which she attributed to the stress from the legal issues.
Now that her lawyers have dropped the case, it’s not clear what’s next for Brandi. Her lawyers, however, said they are still committed to the so-called “reality reckoning.” They just aren’t focused on Brandi.
A representative for the law firm said, “The Reality Reckoning initiative is designed to address the broader mistreatment of reality stars and crew across multiple shows, with a focus on unfair contract provisions and systemic issues. It has never been centered on one individual’s case.”
