Fans of the early seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey no doubt remember Dina Manzo and her sister, Caroline Manzo. The two sisters married two brothers, and in Dina’s case, it didn’t work out well. She appeared during Season 1 and a few episodes of Season 2 to close out her storyline. However, she later returned to film Season 6 of RHONJ. By then, she was estranged from her sister. And it seems that the family was no longer “thick as thieves.” But now Dina has some closure involving her ex-husband, Tommy Manzo, and the crimes that he committed.

In June 2024, Tommy was convicted of hiring John Perna, a member of the Lucchese crime family, to attack David Cantin. At the time, the duo was dating, but have since married.
In 2015, John physically assaulted David in a strip mall parking lot in New Jersey. Tommy reportedly gave John a discount on his wedding as payment. His wedding was held at The Brownstone, which was the venue owned by Tommy and Albert Manzo, Caroline’s husband. In the end, Tommy was convicted of committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity, conspiracy, and concealing and falsifying documents.
Finally, Tommy was sentenced to seven years in prison, along with three years of supervised release. At last, Dina and David can move on and close this painful chapter.
The Daily Beast reported that Dina shared a message via her Instagram Story. “Because at the end of the day, the right people fight for you. The right people show up,” Dina posted. “The right people care, not only when life is convenient, but when it is difficult and messy and it aches all over.” She credited the quote to writer Bianca Sparacino. Of course, Dina didn’t give us any context or clues as to who she was referring to in her post. I have a feeling that Caroline, who wrote letters in support of Tommy, wouldn’t be on that list.
