Jeff Lewis’ Flipping Out Bravo Reboot: What We Want To See

When Flipping Out premiered in 2007, it was ahead of the curve. Bravo, as a network, was trying to come into its own. With the success of the Real Housewives, the network wanted an interior design show to round out the fall roster. Viewers were introduced to Jeff Lewis’ high-maintenance life. The home designer was perhaps one of the most colorful real estate men ever to grace the state of California. Jeff resided in Los Angeles and had obsessive-compulsive tendencies. This trait was only exceeded by the foibles of his eccentric friends.

What was Flipping Out about?

Jeff, however, was highly successful. In the early 2000s, the housing market took a downturn, and Jeff made a name for himself by flipping houses. However, as business started to decline, fans watched Jeff begin to focus on his interior design consulting business. But perhaps the best part of the series was Jeff’s close relationship with housekeeper Zoila Chavez who didn’t take his crap and Jenni Pulos. The show was canceled in 2018 after 11 seasons. Sadly, at the time, Flipping Out was marred with lawsuits due to Jeff’s surrogate. She had claimed that Bravo cameras filmed her giving birth without her permission. But the past is now behind him. Not many viewers had Jeff returning to the network on their 2024 bingo cards, but it seems the new series is still in early preproduction.

Jeff Lewis is back!

Jeff couldn’t help but spill the tea while hosting his SiriusXM show, Jeff Lewis Live. But Jeff put his audience at ease, sharing that the contract was signed and dried. Jeff revealed, “We’ve been kind of hinting at the fact that there is a new television show on the horizon, and we have not given any details. I can’t give too many, too many details, but I can tell you a little bit more.”

The radio host added “So, my contract is signed. I am in development right now with Bravo and 32 Flavors Productions on a new show for Bravo. All I can tell you is it’ll be a docuseries. You can kind of think of it like a Flipping Out reboot, Flipping Out 2.0, and I’m really very, very, very excited.” It seems that Jeff was only put on pause and not axed.

What fans want to see on Jeff Lewis’ new show

I am usually not one for trying to carbon copy an earlier show’s success. But Jeff had the perfect recipe. So, I want to see his reckless disregard for anyone’s feelings and love of drama. I imagine that Jeff is the only Bravoleb who can be unabashedly mean and not find himself canceled. Jeff has a natural charisma, and it is nice to see that his talent is being recognized. Jeff is the master at sabotaging the world around him, and this makes for fantastic TV. Personally, I never loved his designs, but if we get a nice mix of impressions and snark, I think fans will be in for a real treat.

Jeff Lewis will still have his radio show

Even though Jeff is headed back to Bravo, the personality also plans to keep his radio show going. Jeff has been a mainstay on Sirus XM for the last seven years, and he just signed a very lucrative deal to keep going. Jeff will still be under the umbrella of Andy Cohen’s station, Radio Andy. The show will now be in a five-day format, where Jeff interviews celebrities and shares updates on his daily life.

Jeff was given his own channel in 2023, The Jeff Lewis Channel, and listeners have been eating his daily dish. The real estate mogul revealed that his show is now expanding to a two-hour block. He proudly shared, “SiriusXM has given me the freedom to build a show that is unfiltered, unapologetic, and morally corrupt. I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow my show and my cult…I mean, listeners.” Jeff will now be on Monday through Friday. The good news keeps coming as Jeff also signed a multi-year extension for his contract with Sirius. But he forgot to mention for how many years.
