Don’t even think about asking Kristin Cavallari about her ex-husband Jay Cutler’s recent arrest. She doesn’t want to talk about it, and it’s a shame because we really do.
Earlier this month, the Very Cavallari star got busted for DUI, gun possession, failure to exercise due care, and violation of implied consent law. It’s a whole laundry list of allegations, but Kristin wants nothing to do with it. She will, however, discuss clones.
Jay Cutler’s DUI arrest
Page Six reported all of the details of Jay’s arrest. His trouble started after he rear-ended another car in downtown Franklin, Tennesee. Allegedly, he offered the other driver $2,000 to not call the police. That didn’t go over well, and when the cops showed up, they said he had all of the classic signs of a drunk person. They described him as “thick-tongued, slurred, and mumbled.”
Jay refused a field sobriety test and claimed he wasn’t involved in the accident. The cops weren’t buying it. They took him to a hospital to get a blood sample and noticed a visible dent in the front of the car. It doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to put the clues together.
The cops tossed Jay into a jail cell, but he got out on a $5,000 bond later that day. Meanwhile, Kristin is trying to stay silent about the whole thing.
Kristin Cavallari is keeping her mouth shut
Kristin went on her podcast, ironically called Let’s Be Honest, to lightly address the elephant in the room. In an intro to the episode, she claimed the episode was recorded before the arrest and wouldn’t be addressing the issue.
Kristin explained, “I wanted to hop on here and just let you guys know that this episode was recorded right before a very public incident that happened last week with my ex-husband, so just keep that in mind as you’re listening.”
“I will not be commenting on what happened,” she continued. “I do, of course, wish Jay nothing but the best, and I do hope that he gets the help that he needs, but that’s the only thing I will be saying about it publicly.”
The former star of The Hills was married to Jay for seven years, and they share three kids. After their divorce, Kristin described their marriage as “toxic.” That might explain why she isn’t coming to his defense right now.
