Ciara Miller feels uncomfortable with the attention. The Bravolebrity still works shifts at the hospital and revealed she is often recognized by Summer House fans. It’s not quite the right scenario to be star-struck.
Though Ciara got modeling jobs after being discovered for Summer House, the registered nurse still keeps up her skills. Perhaps it’s hard to merge the two worlds of everyday and celebrity. The reality TV star certainly feels uncomfortable with the attention.
Ciara Miller never wants to be a “distraction” from the somber nature of the ICU
Ciara recently shared her experience of being recognized at work, where people are at their most vulnerable.
“I hate that,” she said of fans wanting to interact. “I hate that. Because we’re in the ICU I never wanna be like ‘Heyyy, it’s me.'”
Ciara shared one such instance. She explained, “You have to answer beeps. Anything that’s beeping, you have to answer it right away. So I like go into this woman’s room. She’s not my patient, but her mom is in the ICU. The IV pump was just beeping so I was going in there to see what it was. Turn it off. Or like fix whatever it was. And the daughter was sitting there. She’s in tears, like crying. Her mom is sick.”
The daughter quickly recognized Ciara when she entered the room to respond to the IV machine.
“And I walk in and she’s goes, ‘I know you.’ And I was like ‘Hi.’ And I just like turned the beep off and was like, ‘Do you need anything?’ And she’s like ‘no,'” the professional model shared.
“But I just walked back out and I was like I just even hate that. I never want to take away, or like, be a distraction as to what’s going on in the unit,” she added.
Meanwhile, Ciara’s co-workers have been with her since she “first graduated nursing school.” They’re used to her presence on the floor.
“I worked with them before Summer House,” she revealed.
