The Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos isn’t letting anyone speak ill of the great crop of men she has this season. Not even DIY homemaking goddess Martha Stewart. The blonde bachelorette shared that she responded (politely) to Martha’s diss that the men weren’t “hot enough” and said she guesses Martha didn’t see in them what she (and many viewers) do.
In fact, Joan felt so strongly about it that she sent Martha a direct message with her sentiments. Now, she’s waiting for a response from the businesswoman and writer. And honestly, we’re curious about how she’ll respond too!
Martha Stewart says she’d never do the Golden Bachelorette
This conversation began when Martha joined her BFF Snoop Dogg on Watch What Happens Live. Andy Cohen asked her if there was any possibility she might do The Golden Bachelorette.
Martha replied before he even finished the sentence with a vehement shake of her head. “Absolutely not,” she said straight-faced. “For what? For what?” Snoop added. Andy sweetened the pot – “For a million dollars an episode?” he asked.
But Martha stayed firm — even when Snoop told Andy to add another zero to his number.
And to be fair, she’s not the only one who’s passed on the chance. Susan Lucci revealed she also turned down a stint on the show. But just because she didn’t feel it was for her. As for Martha’s reason — “The guys aren’t hot enough,” she said with a shrug.
Well, Joan doesn’t agree. When she was asked about the Martha diss on Access Hollywood, Joan admitted that she sent Martha a message about what she said on Andy’s show.
“I DM’d her last night!” she admitted. “I don’t know if she has read it yet, but I did. And I said dating is hard out there and I had a group of great guys. She doesn’t know them like I know them. I got to know the inside of them as well as the outside and both are wonderful.”
Joan added, “I guess Martha Stewart didn’t watch or didn’t see what I saw in them. Maybe you have to be there in person, but they were special guys.”
She concluded, “I feel like everyone is falling in love with them. What’s wrong with you Martha? I DM’d her last night and am waiting for a response.”
