Halloween is right around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than by revisiting your favorite Bravo shows? Over the years, there have been a few standout Bravo Real Housewives Halloween episodes, whether it be Dorinda Medley’s iconic Bluestone Manor bash or the Potomac ladies’ trip to a haunted forest. If you want to get in the spooky spirit, consider pouring yourself a glass of mulled wine and turning on a spooky Bravo episode.
Here are the best Real Housewives Halloween episodes to revisit this fall…
‘Meet Rinna Jane’ – RHOBH, Season 9, Episode 16
In Season 9 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the women attended Kyle Richards’ Halloween-themed birthday party for her eldest daughter, Farrah. The party, cleverly named “Farrahween,” was a lot of fun. The women came dressed to impress in over-the-top costumes. The highlight of the episode was when Lisa Rinna showed up dressed as her castmate, Erika Jayne. Rinna channeled her friend’s iconic Coachella look for the night, donning a blonde wig, an oversized tee, headphones, and thigh-high boots. It was iconic. Rinna spoke about the inspiration behind the look in a confessional.
“I woke up in the middle of the night and something said to me, ‘You gotta be Erika Jayne,'” she said. “She’s a girl’s dream. She’s sexual, she’s over-the-top, and she can get away with anything. What’s more fun than that?”
‘Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun’ – RHONY, Season 10, Episode 1
Season 10 of Real Housewives of New York kicked off with Dorinda’s legendary Halloween party. The women all came dressed as female icons. Lady Gaga, Madonna, Barbie, and Britney Spears were a few of the icons represented at the bash. Luann De Lesseps also got into the theme but unfortunately, she missed the mark. The Countess showed up in a racially insensitive Diana Ross costume that appalled both her co-star Carole Radziwill and fans at home. She later apologized for the costume during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
While the theme of the party was light-hearted and fun, the event itself was pretty hostile. Dorinda was critical of Sonja Morgan’s “antisocial” behavior and Bethenny and Ramona fought over Hamptons real estate. The drama was plentiful and the drinks were flowing. Overall, it’s a great Real Housewives episode.
Good Will Haunting – RHOP, Season 4, Episode 2
The Season 4 Real Housewives of Potomac episode “Good Will Haunting” is a good one to revisit during spooky season. The episode takes place in a “haunted forest” and there is a solid amount of drama. The main source of tension stemmed from the fact that Michael Darby was in attendance. The group was weary of him after learning a Bravo cameraman accused him of sexual assault. The hostile environment mixed with the eerie background of the haunted forest makes this episode super spooky.
Meet & Potatoes – RHOC, Season 9, Episode 2
Tamra Judge’s Halloween-themed dinner party in Season 9 of Real Housewives of Orange County should definitely be on your rewatch list. It was one of a few RHOC dinner parties that didn’t end in total chaos. Tamra decorated her home like a haunted house and invited a Tarot Card reader to give the ladies readings. Overall, it was an enjoyable evening with little fighting. Vick Gunvalson gave Shannon Beador a hard time for being a newbie but that was about it.
House of Horrors – RHONJ, Season 11, Episode 13
In Season 11 of Real Housewives of New Jersey, Margaret Josephs threw an unforgettable Halloween party. The women really leaned into the theme and showed up in amazing costumes. Margaret channeled Morticia Addams, Teresa Giudice dressed up like cotton candy, and Joe and Melissa Gorga showed up as a mercouple. My award for best look of the night has to go to Dolores and Frank Catania, who dressed up as “plastic surgery nightmares.”
Eat, Drink, and Be Scary – RHONY, Season 12, Episode 12
The Season 12 RHONY episode “Eat, Drink, and Be Scary” may be my favorite Halloween episode in the franchise. Lu’s Halloween party provided the backdrop for one of the most dramatic episodes of the season. Everyone was fighting and everyone had too much to drink. My favorite part of the night was Dorinda’s drunken speech followed by Sonja eating with her bare hands. Chef’s kiss!
