Sold On SLC Trailer Revealed: Lisa Barlow Declares ‘God Is in This Brokerage’

Another Utah-based reality show is about to hit screens across the nation – Sold On SLC. For those who love Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and the plethora of real estate reality shows, this will be the show for you. Lisa Barlow even features heavily in Sold On SLC’s trailer!

Given Salt Lake City’s rapid growth in the 21st century and America’s fascination with Mormons, the reality content from Utah makes sense. Just look at how well Secret Lives of Mormon Wives performed. So, what can fans expect from Sold On SLC?

On October 29, E! News got an exclusive look at the Sold On SLC trailer. The trailer opened with our new SLC lead stepping out of her car. “I am Jennifer Yeo, CEO of Presidio Real Estate,” she announced. And immediately, she established the stakes: “The amount of women that create brokerages in the state of Utah and succeed? I would say one percent.”

Jennifer admitted that things were not easy for her when she first started. “When I started the brokerage, I literally couldn’t even afford a printer. But last year, we sold $1.2 billion. And I couldn’t have done it without the best team in the business.”

One of Jennifer’s employees, Tyna, further emphasized the difficulty in being a woman in the industry. “In a male-dominated state, you gotta grow a pair,” she said, referring to a pair of breasts. “Because I feel like women are stronger than men.”

The Sold On SLC cast follows the Jen Commandments

As a Utah-based show, viewers can also expect mingling with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or the Mormon Church as it’s colloquially known. The trailer showed Lisa Barlow as a surprise guest. “God is in this brokerage!” she announced. Lisa also laid out her home expectations, including a guest house, spray tan station, and a salon.

Further referencing Mormonism, Jen said, “People in Utah might follow the Ten Commandments, but in my brokerage, we follow the Jen Commandments.” For example, “Thou shalt always be selling,” and “Thou shalt always be professional.” Of course, based on some of the trailer antics, it would seem some sellers don’t take that commandment so seriously.

Cast members also discussed swinging, what with the advent of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and the whole MomTok scandal. Another Jen Commandment was “Thou shalt not steal my agents.” The trailer teased a bit of “sleeping with the enemy” as agents seemed to flirt with the possibility of joining other brokerages.

All this drama and more once Sold On SLC hits Bravo on December 4.
