Even though they’re far apart from each other, Below Deck Mediterranean deckhands Gael Cameron and Nathan Gallagher still have a strong connection. The pair left the Mustique together at the end of the season to travel. Despite breaking up at one point, they quickly reconciled and are still going strong.
Earlier this week, Gael posted an Instagram photo of a gorgeous bouquet of colorful flowers Nathan sent to her home in Australia. The flowers were accompanied by a card and a Polaroid photo of the two of them at a wedding a few weeks ago. “To the most beautiful girl in the world,” her Irish boyfriend inscribed the card. “I hope you have a wonderful day and these flowers put a smile on your face. Xx.”
Gael added her own comment to the beautiful gift, writing, “Half a world apart and he still makes me feel like the most special girl in the world. Love you so much.” Awww.
Nathan and Gael are still going strong after meeting on Below Deck Med
Nathan reposted his girlfriend’s photo to the tune of Mahalia’s “Grateful.” He embellished the post with two blue hearts, sending love across the nearly 10,000 miles between them.
After first getting together aboard the Mustique, the couple spent several weeks traveling across Europe, visiting with Nathan’s Irish family, and attending a family wedding together. When the time came for Gael to leave on October 15, she posted a black-and-white photo of herself kissing Nathan’s cheek.
“Gonna miss my other half,” she captioned the photo. “Bye for now … but not for long.”
Rather than just dropping his girlfriend at the Dublin Airport, Nathan bought a “random flight ticket.” This allowed him to hang out with Gael in the terminal while she waited for her flight to Australia.
Posting yet another Instagram photo of his girlfriend, Nathan called their parting “the saddest goodbye.” But he made a point that it wasn’t goodbye forever when he captioned the photo, “See you soon!”
After an initial six weeks of traveling together after leaving the yacht, the couple broke up, blaming communication issues. But after the Season 9 finale aired on September 23, the couple took to Instagram to confirm they were back together. And they’ve been together ever since.
Nathan and Gael each posted a photo of them sitting on a fence together, sharing a kiss. The post was cutely captioned, “R3KINDL3D.”
Gael also posted a picture of her in a pool, reaching back for Nathan’s hand. “Finder’s keepers,” she captioned the sweet snap.
Below Deck Med is available to stream on Peacock. Meanwhile, Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.
