Season 13 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills gave us an unexpected development. Former besties Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley’s strained relationship went from bad to worse. Since both ladies are separated from their husbands, it seemed like they would support each other. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case. And Kathy Hilton, who is Kyle’s sister, is also a friend of the housewives for Season 14 of RHOBH. But that doesn’t mean that Kathy is wading into this drama.
Kathy Hilton says that Kyle Richards “can handle herself” with Dorit Kemsley
During the Season 13 reunion, Kyle and Dorit’s relationship deteriorated more when Dorit decided to share private text messages from Kyle. According to Dorit, the messages from Kyle were “manipulative.” Plus, during the Season 14 RHOBH trailer, Dorit and Kyle have a blow-up. At this point, I’m not sure their friendship is strong enough to survive all this drama.
After the reunion, Kyle claimed that she sent Dorit another text. “Never in 13 years, I’ve never had, even the worst of worst situations, I’ve never had someone do that to me,” Kyle said of Dorit sharing her text at the reunion.
Well, now Kathy is weighing in on why she is staying away from this drama. “I think with Dorit and Kyle, my feeling is if I get in the middle of something, they’re gonna make up and then, I’m the bad guy,” Kathy told Page Six. “So Kyle is a big girl and she knows how to handle herself very well.” However, Kathy noted that she will “always” have Kyle’s back.
As for Season 14 of RHOBH? Kathy had “a lot of fun.” She also shared that her closest friends on the cast are Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke. I’m interested to see if Kathy once again provides some comic relief for the show.
