Jersey Shore’s Top Five Best Moments of All Time

In December 2009, MTV viewers were gifted the gift that literally kept on giving. The Jersey Shore was a show that I have always loved because it is so dumb but embarrassingly relatable. The early days of the show were SO entertaining. It was a perfect mix of people. The show had heart, humor, and demanding situations and mirrored what life was for in the early 2000s for most. As I felt nostalgic, I thought I’d take a look back at some of the most memorable moments of all time.

1. Jersey Shore Season 4: The Situation hitting his head against the wall

For many, “hitting your head against the wall” is just a figure of speech. But for Mike Sorrentino, they were words to live by. During Season 4, the entire cast traveled to Italy to film abroad. Mike had isolated himself from the entire group. Between his constant fighting with Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his inability to tell the truth to his housemates, everyone was over The Situation. He grew tired of The Situation’s antics. In a desperate attempt and drug-induced moment, Mike became so heated he literally head-butted a cement wall. The wall attack left fans’ mouths on the floor, and Mike was concussed and left with a neck sprain. While the move was extreme, the rest of the house did end up feeling sorry for Mike and rallied around him during his time of need.

2. Jersey Shore Season 3: Snooki gets arrested on the beach

As a Jersey girl, I’ve been to Seaside every year of my life. But I’ve never seen anyone get arrested while sunning themselves. But leave it to Nicole Polizzi to find herself in the custody of the Seaside Park police after a drunken protest. During Season 3, Snooki had one too many Jager bombs. The tiny meatball wanted to go for a stroll on the boardwalk but instead became a public nuisance. It turns out that a whole day of drinking doesn’t mix well with a reality TV star.

Even though her roommates tried getting her back to the shore house, the police got to Snooki first. MTV cameras caught the moment Snooki was handcuffed and pushed into a police cruiser. Snooki tried to convince the public she was really a “good person,” but in the end, you just can’t be drunk in public. I think it is safe to say she learned a valuable lesson on that sunny day.

3. Pauly D’s stage five clinger

Perhaps one of my all-time favorite Jersey Shore moments was when Pauly DelVecchio found himself a boardwalk stalker. Pauly D was all about GTL and the ladies during the early days. But he hadn’t prepared for one of his women scorned to fight back. While at Bamboo, the DJ met an Israeli woman named Danielle. While she was ready for a full-blown relationship, Pauly wasn’t prepared to settle down just yet. In turn, viewers watched as the playboy made other plans with his roommates and didn’t extend an invite. While playing games and riding his favorite ride, he noticed his “Stage five clinger.”

Danielle tried to insert herself and even yelled at him over the phone. She eventually showed up and begged Pauly to go home with her. Instead, the MTV star decided to have a stern talk, making sure she got the message that he just wanted to be friends. The moment was uncomfortable but made for great TV.

4. Jersey Shore Season 2: The NOTE

Sammi Giancola and Ronnie never had the best relationship. In fact, it was pretty toxic. But I can’t deny that I use “Staaahhpp” at least once a week. Even though it took Ronnie and Sammi years to figure out they didn’t belong together, Snooki and Jenni Farley tried to speed up the breakup process. But the mystery letter backfired severely. The letter was a huge part of Jersey Shore’s history and an iconic moment in pop culture. The family has always been big on loyalty, but the girls didn’t like how Sammie was being treated.

In Season 2, Snooki and JWoww wrote an anonymous note to inform Sam of Ronnie’s cheating ways. Sadly, Sammi forgot not to shoot the messenger as she aimed her rage at her two friends. The fight went down in the kitchen and spanned two episodes. In the end, Ronnie got off, and Sammi tried to land a punch on JWoww.

5. Jenni Farley punches Mike Sorrentino in the face

While in Atlantic City, Jenni became so fed up with The Situation that she delivered a roundhouse that was heard worldwide. Jenni was the strong girl of the house and she never let anyone walk all over her. So when a mix of too many drinks and getting kicked out of a nightclub combine, Jenni turns into The Hulk. The dance enthusiast blamed Mike for their departure, but The Situation didn’t seem to be upset. When back at the hotel, Jenni ambushed her roommate and tried to punch him numerous times. And right when you thought it was over, Jenni landed a brutal backhand. Needless to say, that hit stung.
