We’re coming up to the finale for the debut season of The Golden Bachelorette and Joan Vassos has a tough decision to make. And she’s not taking it lightly. She even looks back at her choices and can’t help but feel a little regret.
That’s probably par for the course for participants of Bachelor Nation. After all, it’s difficult to get to know someone completely in the short time they have together. And Joan is feeling that way now and wishing she had more time with some of her potential suitors.
Joan Vassos wished she had a bit more time with Mark and Jordan
During an episode of Off the Vine, Joan was asked by former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe if there were any men she regretted eliminating.
“Yeah, I mean, I feel I needed more time,” Joan answered. “I feel like I needed more time with Mark (Anderson) and more time with Jordan (Heller), honestly.” And she shared a little bit more about her relationship with the two men during the podcast.
Joan noted that her worry with Jordan was that he expressed he might not be quite ready and wasn’t sure if he ever would be. “He said we had a slow burn and he was very uncomfortable in the beginning and during the whole journey,” Joan shared.
And while she enjoyed her time with her and felt they might have gotten there eventually, she knew they weren’t in love during the show’s timeframe. “We had a lot of fun together,” Joan recalled.
As for Mark, Joan eliminated him during their one-on-one yacht date. “I finally started having feelings for him and the yacht date was really good,” Joan recalled.
And Mark experienced a lot of personal growth on the show and created great bonds with the other men. Joan worried though that she didn’t know how she fit with him and while he was becoming emotionally ready, she didn’t know for sure if the future he was envisioning had her in it.
So that’s why she made the decisions she did. And while she may have wished for more time with them, it doesn’t look like she’s regretting keeping the men she’s bringing to the finale.
