During the earlier seasons of The Real Housewives of New York, viewers loved watching Jill Zarin terrorize the group with her demands. Along for the ride was her teenage daughter, Ally Shapiro. The young New Yorker was one of the first Bravo kids to really film and caught the attention of fans who wanted nothing but the best for her. So when she recently announced her engagement, fans were over the moon. But in a sad turn of events, it looks like Ally is back on the market after a failed engagement.
Ally Shapiro is single after ending her engagement
Just two months after getting down on one knee, Ally and Jordan Bilfeld called off their engagement. Jill told Page Six, “After much reflection, they have made the difficult decision to end their engagement. And as a family, we are focused on supporting Ally through this time. We appreciate your understanding and request privacy on this personal matter.”
A source also noted that there were already “issues” between the couple before they threw their Hamptons engagement party. The source added that they both had hoped that their troubles would “settle down” and tried to put forth a united front in hopes of reconciling. However last week a “decision was made” to call off the relationship. The outlet reported that friends and family were shocked by the news.
Ally and Jordan began dating in January 2022. But this past week, Ally had been dropping little breadcrumbs regarding the possible demise of her future marriage. Ally posted a video of herself moving into a studio apartment and even lip-synching to a sad song. RHONY viewers knew something was wrong when she deleted all traces of their engagement from her Instagram and no longer followed her fiancé’s sister on Instagram.
Jill Zarin is rallying around her daughter
In a TikTok post, she shared a video of Jill and her mom’s boyfriend helping her clean up her new apartment. Ally captioned her video by writing, “When you don’t realize how much you needed your parents until they drop everything for you.” (I’m not crying. I swear!) Jill seemed right in her element as she bossed the movers and her family around. From the scene, it looks like Ally is cleaning out her apartment, which she once shared with Jordan, as the video shows her packing up belongings. At the end of the video, Ally hugged Jill, who made a sad face as she kissed her daughter.
In another TikTok video, Ally played a song by Gracie Abrams entitled That’s So True. The lyrics were moving as she mouthed, “Made it out alive, but I think I lost it / Said that I was fine, said it from the coffin / Remember how I died when you started walking? That’s my life, that’s my life.” She continued, “I’ll put up a fight, taking out my earrings / Don’t you know the vibe? Don’t you know the feeling? You should spend the night, catch me on your ceiling / That’s your prize, that’s your prize, Well?”
Ally is moving on
Luckily, Jill swooped in to help her daughter cope with the loss of a life she thought she would have. The former Real Housewives of New York star ensured her daughter felt the love on her 32nd birthday.
Jill took to Instagram to write, “Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter, my heart, my everything. Watching you grow from a sweet baby into the incredible woman you are today has been my greatest joy.” Jill touched on the breakup, adding, “This year, as you embark on a new chapter, remember that life’s journey has its ups and downs, but you are stronger, braver, and more resilient than you know.”
Along with a collage of photos, Jill ended her post by writing a touching tribute. The mother of one wrote, “I’m so proud of you, of your courage, and the light you bring to everyone around you. Here’s to fresh starts, endless love, and all the amazing things still to come.” Ally looked fresh-faced as she also posted videos on her TikTok showing her in beach wear and blowing out candles on birthday cake while at Soul Cycle.
