Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador once thought about finding love on The Golden Bachelorette.
On the October 31 episode of The Viall Files, Shannon admitted she considered applying for the ABC series. However, RHOC executive producer Andy Cohen offered her another job.
When Nick Viall asked if she’d ever thought about being the Golden Bachelorette, Shannon shared that she looked into it. She touched base with some of the Housewives producers who also work on The Bachelor franchise. But then Andy offered her another opportunity at Love Hotel.

“I said, ‘What about me being the Golden Bachelorette?'” Miss Nine Lemons recalled. “We just kinda put it out there.”
But then Andy called with an “interesting idea.” He told her about Peacock’s upcoming reality dating series. In Love Hotel, singles will compete to win the hearts of four of Bravo’s biggest bachelorettes. Shannon needed a change of scenery following her breakup with John Janssen and her DUI conviction, so she was all in.
“They asked me to join the show,” she said, confessing she’d still love to meet Joan Vassos, the first-ever Golden Bachelorette. “I just feel like we have a lot of stuff in common … In her show and in Love Hotel, you get [a] story because we’re older. Like, it’s not just like we’re young and dating.”
“We have story and issues, and we’re all single for a reason,” she continued. “We all have triggers and all that sort of stuff, so it’s good.”
According to People, Love Hotel also stars Real Housewives of New York alum Luann de Lesseps. The Real Housewives of Potomac OGs Gizelle Bryant and Ashley Darby are also starring. Filming took place in Cabo San Lucas, where Shannon’s alleged “bad behavior” pissed off the show’s host, Joel Kim Booster.
Love Hotel is expected to premiere sometime in 2025.
The Real Housewives Of Orange County Season 18 Reunion begins November 7 at 9/8c on Bravo.
