Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Teddi Mellencamp has a popular podcast with her buddy, Tamra Judge, called Two T’s In A Pod. However, Teddi has been struggling with her health over the past two years. And now, it seems that she was also struggling in her marriage to Edwin Arroyave.
Teddi Mellencamp files for divorce from Edwin Arroyave
Teddi’s skin cancer has been understandably emotional. She had her fifteenth surgery for melanoma in April 2024, and Edwin was by her side. Plus, the couple shares two daughters, Slate and Dove, and one son, Cruz. Teddi and Edwin also share his daughter from a previous marriage, Isabella.
Then, Teddi dropped the news of her split from Edwin via Instagram. “After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Teddi’s statement began. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”
She continued, “Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do, but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest, and vulnerable was the best path forward.”
RHOBH fans don’t know why Teddi filed for divorce
We don’t know why Teddi decided to file for divorce after 13 years of marriage. However, Teddi previously shared her feelings about an unaired scene from RHOBH. While Teddi and Edwin were riding in a car, they were discussing expanding their family. Teddi said, “We start talking about it and Edwin says the quote, ‘Then you’re going to get big again. Are you okay with that?’” Yikes! “I honestly wanted to die in that moment,” she stated, adding that if the clip had aired, it “would have ended [them]” as a couple.
I’m sure we will learn more as time goes on, and hopefully, the duo can keep the proceedings amicable for their kids. Plus, there seems to be a marriage curse on RHOBH. Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are separated, as are Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley. Is it the right time for Teddi to return to RHOBH?
