Some Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans didn’t seem phased, while others were surprised by the decision. The couple is moving forward with their separation, Teddi is making it known she wants custody of their three children.

Teddi Mellencamp is bracing for a fight
According to the court documents via Page Six, the petition was filed on Friday, November 1. The legal papers showed that the 43-year-old accountability coach cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. The date of separation listed was October 20th.
However, a mere four days later, Teddi and Edwin were seen smooching at a gala together. At the time, Edwin even posted a tribute to his wife, writing, “I always say life and pain are inseparable.
“And to see @teddimellencamp embrace her pain and use it for the greater good again last night as she emceed the @curemelanoma gala, was a beautiful reminder of what she is capable of.”
Teddi has made it clear in her divorce filing that she is seeking primary legal and physical custody of her three children – Slate, Cruz, and Dove. The documents noted that she was happy to allow Edwin “reasonable and frequent” visitation.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is also seeking spousal support from Edwin. But she did check the box to block the court’s ability to award her now-distant husband the same right. She also asked that Edwin be in charge of paying all her attorney’s fees and costs.
