Followers of The Traitors know that Season 3 will have to put some effort into topping the previous season. The Peacock series knew it had a hit on its hand after Season 2 showed the blending of OG reality stars, complete with the (almost) perfect traitor, Phaedra Parks. Since the finale, viewers have been dying to get their hands on any details regarding Season 3. Well, finally, Peacock has dropped us a few breadcrumbs. So here is what we know!

The Traitors Season 3 premiere date on Peacock

The Traitors Season 3 starts streaming on Peacock from Thursday, January 9, 2025.

Alan Cumming shared the joyous news on The Today Show with Hoda and Jenna. The famed Scottish actor had information that viewers would have done just about anything for. Alan revealed that The Traitors would return on the small screen on January 9. Fans of the show will have to tune in to Peacock to watch the series.

Naturally, Alan played it coy as he delivered the exciting news. In his accent, he noted, “I’ll just say one word: brutal.” Alan then divulged that there was a moment during filming when he thought he would have to break up a house fight. Oh lord, to be a fly on his mansion’s wall!

The Peacock series will once again feature 21 celebrities. And it would seem at least three of the new contestants will be selected by Alan to be a traitor. The rest of the faithful will have to try to unscramble who is trying to sabotage their wins if they hope to leave with the grand prize.

Alan noted that viewers will be told who the traitors are during the season premiere. Season 3 will have all the thrills and chills as the past two seasons. Between Mission Impossible-themed games and epic round tables, there will be no time to sleep on the game.

Peacock is keeping with its Season 2 formula of casting reality TV stars and celebrities. The streaming service knows a good recipe when they see it, and fans loved watching OG stars band together once again. So far, Season 3 has confirmed  Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser, Bob the Drag Queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Chanel Ayan from The Real Housewives of Dubai, Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset, Dorinda Medley from The Real Housewives of New York, Gabby Windey from The Bachelorette and Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules.

Nikki Garcia has also been named to the cast. She has gained some traction due to her very public divorce, which broke after filming. Some other names include Rob Mariano and Carolyn Wiger from Survivor, Britney Haynes from Big Brother, Ciara Miller from Summer House, and Dolores Catania from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The series has also added a royal for good measure with Lord Ivar Mountbatten. This casting choice is interesting as he is the third cousin who was once removed from Prince Phillip. And is the only openly gay member of the British monarch’s extended family.

The Traitors Season 3 predictions

Once again, Bravo has a significant presence on Season 3, and there are some heavy-hitting Real Housewives, too. If we don’t see Dorinda, Dolores, and Robyn Dixon creating some form of unholy ruling on the house, then Peacock missed a perfect chance. But I’ve got predictions.

I think Boston Rob, who is known for his loud mouth, will not be chosen as a traitor. The faithful are going to need him as their ring leader. However, I can see Dolo being cast as the perfect traitor. Her loyalty to a fault personality will be tested, but she can lie to the best of them. I mean, she is best friends with Teresa Giudice.

I can also see Sandoval being cast as a traitor but quickly thrown to the wolves by his other two allies to throw the townspeople off the scent.

Who knew The Traitors would become so popular? Even Alan seemed surprised at the success, noting, “I just thought it sounded like a fun idea, and then all of a sudden, it’s this massive thing.” Since Season 1, the series has been popular among viewers. So far, The Traitors has won three Emmy Awards, including the categories of outstanding reality competition program and outstanding host for a reality or reality competition program.

The Traitors is available to stream on Peacock.
