This season of the Real Housewives of Orange County was filled with tears, John Janssen sightings, and not so many laughs. Season 18 was one of the best in recent years. But so many questions were left unanswered that I’m going to need the finale to shed some light on a few issues. Here are the questions I need answered during the RHOC Season 18 reunion.
Did Katie Ginella really call Heather Dubrow ‘mean’ during RHOC Season 18?
It was pretty obvious that Heather Dubrow thought less of Katie Ginella. I don’t necessarily think she was being malicious. I think Katie was a blip on the radar in the hierarchy of Heather’s life. But there wasn’t an outcome at the end of the finale for all the drama. Instead, fans watched Heather and Katie arguing over calling one another “mean.” Since Episode 1, allegations have been flying back and forth between the two. Katie claimed she had receipts of Fancy Pants planning a Disneyland photo shoot with the paparazzi, but Heather denied it.
However, production decided to throw a grenade into the mix in the form of a flashback. A never-before-seen scene showed Katie’s seven-year-old son asking, “Was Heather being a jerk? Again? For the millionth time?” The proof is kind of in the pudding here, but as a fan, I’d like to know why Katie went so hard for Heather and why she wouldn’t own up to talking badly about her in front of her children. But fair is fair, and I think Heather should own to whether or not she snubbed Katie at Sutton Stracke’s holiday party since this is where the entire feud gained traction.
Does Gina Kirschenheiter think she was a bad friend to Heather Dubrow during RHOC Season 18?
I love Gina Kirschenheiter, and I feel she has a genuine spark for the series. So, I was surprised to see her go after Heather the way she did. I couldn’t help but feel that the Long Island native wanted to make Fancy Pants squirm a bit. Their dynamic has been tainted for seasons as Gina has been trying to claim to be Heather’s friend yet never passes up a chance to talk about her or join in on a Heather pile-on if she sees one.
I can understand Gina’s frustrations with Heather to a point. The actress has a certain protocol when it comes to dealing with the other women, and sometimes, it feels like she has a double standard. But why is anyone pretending Gina hasn’t had a knife ready to plunge into Heather’s back throughout their friendship? I thought Season 17 would have been the demise of their friendship after Gina actively tried to tear Heather down. Gina sang a different tune while at the reunion because fans were pro-Heather. If I were on the couch asking the questions, I’d have to mention with friends like Gina, who needs enemies? (I still love ya, girl!)
What does Jennifer Pedranti think of Ryan Boyajian’s legal drama during RHOC Season 18?
We’ve all seen Jenn Pedranti cry and pretend to be shocked by the allegations against Ryan Boyajian. To some degree, I don’t think Jenn knows the entire truth, as she has a way of living behind her rose-colored glasses. But if you share a bed with this man and get luxury trips every other month, you know something is happening. Jenn shared with Bravo that she was blindsided, saying, “I’m telling you, when that article hit, I didn’t see Ryan all day. Ryan went left, I went right, our phones were blowing up, my mom and dad were in the middle of France on a trip like, ‘Are you OK? Is Ryan going to jail? I truly felt like the world stopped, and that is not an exaggeration.”
As a Real Housewives of Orange County fan, I must take Jenn’s words with a pinch of salt. I believe she is giving the answers she has been told to say. The finale showed that Ryan’s friend, Matt (the bookie), was at their party. Bravo cameras caught the men joking about Ryan laundering money for him. The finale also showed Matt talking about how he could go to jail. I firmly believe that where there is smoke, there is fire. All this must be overwhelming for Jenn. I would like her to answer whether or not she feels Ryan is guilty in any way. Hopefully, viewers will get the answers they desire when part one of the reunions airs later this week.
