Mary Cosby has been prominent on Season 5 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. After a few questionable seasons in which she refused to participate, the pastor really inserted herself into the group of women. And even though she seems to be filming by herself a lot since her husband refuses to make an appearance, her son, Robert Cosby Jr, has stepped up and made sure to film with his mother.

During Season 4 of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary got wind of a rumor involving her son’s dating life. After confronting him at their family home, the preacher learned that her son had secretly been married for a year. Needless to say, Mary was devastated by the news. Mary had a serious conversation at the time, asking, “Why am I hearing rumors that you’re married? So if I’m hearing it from people, I want to hear it from you.” Robert smiled, leading Mary to turn to the Lord, praying, “Let it be no.” As her son said, “I mean, kinda, yeah.” At the time, Robert was just 20. He shared, “Like I went to the courthouse.” Her son’s betrayal hurt Mary as she asked why he chose to go behind her back and not include her in his nuptials.
The Bravo star added to her confessional, “They both live in my house. But I don’t see them much. We kinda have our own wings. And one day like, they were getting dressed. He was rushing to go do something and he was dressed up nice, and she was dressed up nice. But they were running full-blown — running like with all their might, but I didn’t know they were going to go get married.” Mary added, “He’s not ready for marriage. He has no idea that he has to man up. Like he’s going to be the sole provider. I mean, I’m not going to be providing for him and her.”
Who is Robert Cosby Jr’s wife?
Robert married Alexiana Cosby on August 18, 2022, via Starcasm. However, not much is known about Robert’s blushing bride. There are no details about what she does for work. But viewers assume she is living off Mary, too. The couple now live in Mary’s mansion, but the family doesn’t interact much. In 2022, The Sun reported that Robert Jr. was arrested after admitting he had taken oxycontin, Xanax, and smoked marijuana. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper right turn, driving on suspension alcohol-related, and failure to operate within a single lane.
Before the arrest, Robert Jr. and Alexiana had been called out for posting some dark material on social media. In the photos, the couple was showing off their drugs of choice. Robert had one photo that showed little white pills on his tongue. Another snap showed the couple on Mary’s couch.
Mary Cosby isn’t a fan of her son’s wife
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star made it perfectly clear that she did not give her blessing on her son’s union. She told the outlet that her son wasn’t “legally married” but gave no further details. However, she noted that her daughter-in-law was still in the picture. Mary quipped, “Unfortunately. I just think that they’re toxic. They create toxicity when they’re together, and it’s not a good mix. And I feel like the more I put into that and the more I push it, the more he’s gonna gravitate to her, so I know to just back off and just let him figure it out himself, and he’s figuring it out. He sees it.”
Mary just wants her son to come out on the other side. Robert Jr. entered rehab over the summer with Mary sharing he was “doing good.” According to the Bravoleb, her son is “trying to wake up, and he’s super sheltered and I blame myself because I’m like, ‘Did I give him the tools to triumph in life and soar?’ I hope I did. But I know that I spoiled him too, and I don’t mind people seeing what I created and see that he’s a beautiful, responsible guy,” she noted. “I take my full accountability for what he is, and he takes his accountability for what he’s in, and he’s trying to change it and make it better, and I appreciate him for that.” As for Alexiana, there is no word if she is still at the mansion.
