Ally Shapiro and her mother, Jill Zarin, are still staple names in the Real Housewives of New York orbit. That’s despite being off the show since 2011. Jill returned to Bravo for several spinoff shows. Meanwhile, her only daughter went on with her life, but is still beloved by viewers who watched the old-school RHONY.
So Ally’s recent heartbreak resonated with former viewers. And she’s got a lot of support from them. Of course, Jill, former RHONY star, is being the doting mother and taking care of Ally as she processes the dissolution of her engagement.
Ally Shapiro thanked Jill Zarin for “dropping everything” to help her move
Ally and VaynerMedia director Jordan Bilfeld announced their engagement in August 2024. Less than two months later, they had split up.
Jill even supported her daughter by handling the public relations of the matter. On October 31, she confirmed Ally and Jordan’s split to Page Six.
“After much reflection, [they have] made the difficult decision to end their engagement,” Jill shared at the time. “And as a family, we are focused on supporting [Ally] through this time. We appreciate your understanding and request privacy on this personal matter.”
Ally has not publicly commented or offerend an explanation. But she has been very vocal to thank her mother for all the support she’s given.
On October 29, the second generation RHONY star shared a TikTok with her mother. Jill and her boyfriend, Gary Brody, were helping her move in to a studio apartment.
“When you don’t realize how much you needed your parents until they drop everything for you,” Ally shared.
She’s been using TikTok’s to get the message across. Again, Ally has not made official statements, but she’s alluded to a break up and leaning on her mother during the difficult time. Jill’s most important role was always being a wonderful mother.
Catch The Real Housewives of New York Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
