Gina Kirschenheiter Feels ‘Closer’ With Heather Dubrow After ‘Tough Year’

Another season of Real Housewives of Orange County has come and gone. Now that it’s over, it hasn’t been an easy ride for everyone. We know Shannon Beador had a rough ride, but even veterans like Heather Dubrow began to show signs of struggle.

Heather just couldn’t settle in this season. She spent a huge chunk of episodes arguing with RHOC newbie Katie Ginella. Later, Heather also found herself aligned with Tamra Judge, the villain of Season 18. She also had a lot of tension with Gina Kirschenheiter, who was once her bestie on the cast. Now that we’re headed into the reunion, Heather and Gina have some kinks to work out.

In an interview with Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Gina talked a bit about her “tough year” with Heather during RHOC Season 18. “I also do think sometimes you kind of have to have those readjustment years,” Gina explained. “I think it was kind of good for Heather to be challenged a bit this year, you know?” Something tells us that Fancy Pants wouldn’t be so quick to agree with this assessment.

Gina believes that “time and space” has helped bring her “closer” to Heather after a rocky few weeks. “And then when you see what everyone else is fighting about, you just kind of like, look at each other, and you’re like, ‘Dang. I’d rather be fighting over a mammogram than all this other stuff.’ It just starts to seem kind of silly and then you just let it go,” Gina said. The upcoming reunion episodes are sure to be filled with back-to-back drama, but it’s nice to hear that two orange holders found some resolve amidst it all.

The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion airs on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.

TELL US – ARE YOU SURPRISED THAT GINA AND HEATHER ARE FRIENDS AGAIN? WHY DO YOU THINK THEY HAD SO MUCH DRAMA IN THE FIRST PLACE?
