The Golden Bachelorette Episode 8 debuted this week, as the show is coming to its end, with only two men still remaining. Leading lady Joan Vassos is down to Guy and Chock, both of whom she has strong connections with. Thankfully for viewers, the Men Tell All provided fans with an extra episode before the highly anticipated finale. As usual, the Men Tell All was filled with laughs, tears, and of course a few shocking confessions! Here’s everything that went down in case you weren’t able to tune in!
What happened during The Golden Bachelorette Episode 8?
The Men Tell All featured the return of the beloved Golden Bachelorette men. Charles K, Bob, Gregg, Christopher, Kim, Michael, Dan, Jack, Charles L, Mark, Pascal, Jonathan, Keith, Gary, and Jordan were all in attendance for the big night. Four men took the hot seat, while others sat back and enjoyed the laughs. Joan also made an appearance later on in the night, where she reunited with her many exes. Oh, how I love the Men Tell All episodes.
Jonathan was first up in the hot seat
As expected, the night was filled with jokes and laughter from the jump. After introducing the men, the group touched on classics from the season including the snoring issues in the mansion and the infamous Chippendales group date. In a more serious moment, Michael revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer before coming on the show. Thankfully, he is doing fine now but the Stand up to Cancer group date meant a lot to him regardless. My personal favorite moment of the night was Joan’s mother Mary eating a burger in the audience. It’s good to see she’s doing better as well!
After the opening conversation, Jonathan was the first man up in the hot seat which felt fitting. Jonathan was a key player this season, who ultimately was eliminated right before hometowns. While talking with host Jesse Palmer, Jonathan revealed how much he appreciated Joan for listening to and supporting him all season. Joan wasn’t Jonathan’s only support, however, as he developed close bonds with the rest of the men. Jesse shared a picture of a note that Mark had left Jonathan one morning, expressing how much he had enjoyed their time together. These men are just too wholesome!
Mark was up next
Mark was a standout contestant this season, partially because fans already knew him due to his daughter Kelsey Anderson winning The Bachelor. Unfortunately, Mark didn’t end up winning The Golden Bachelorette. Joan sent him home before hometowns due to just not feeling the connection with him. Mark still had to get a moment in the hot seat, where he reflected on his journey. In honor of his wife Denise who passed away from breast cancer, Mark sported a pink ribbon on his jacket. He’s just the best.
While Kelsey wasn’t able to attend the big event, her beau Joey Graziadei was there for both of them. Joey laughed after watching back Mark dressed as a firefighter during the Chippendales date, but it was evident how proud he was of his future father-in-law. We love this Bachelor Nation family!
Charles L for the next Golden Bachelor?
Charles L was the third man in the hot seat and for good reason. Without a doubt, Charles was the fan favorite this season. From night one, Charles captivated viewers with his great sense of humor and honesty. During his talk with Jesse, Charles looked back on his moments in the mansion. Some of these such as his reflection on the events leading to his wife’s death were heartbreaking, while others like his pool day outing were more lighthearted.
To make things more special, Charles’ daughter Sophia was in the audience. Sophia expressed how grateful she was that her dad was able to be on the show, as it gave him a new sense of confidence. Charles confirmed that he’s ready to get back out into the dating scene, which couldn’t have come at a better time. One member of the audience exclaimed that she hoped to see Charles as the next lead of The Golden Bachelor. We couldn’t agree more! Pretty please ABC.
Pascal reflected on his journey before seeing Joan again
The last man to take the hot seat was Pascal, who surprised Joan by self-eliminating when he reached the final three. Pascal admitted that it had been difficult for him to watch things back and opened up about struggling with vulnerability throughout his journey. Luckily for Pascal, his son Maxim was in the audience for support. Maxim told his father that he loved him and thanked him for being so open on the journey. What a wholesome father son duo!
Finally, it was time for the Golden Bachelorette herself to come out. Joan was thrilled to see Pascal and didn’t have any hard feelings against him. She told her former suitor that she wanted the best for him, and it was evident she was glad to see him doing well. Joan was also happy to see the rest of the men again, including Jonathan who has since found love again. Go Jonathan!
It wouldn’t be a proper Men Tell All if it didn’t end with some hilarious bloopers. Of course, we had to look back on the famous snoring problem. We also saw the men partaking in self-care throughout the journey, including face masks and yoga. However, I don’t think it’s controversial to say that the best blooper was Pascal giving Charles L some blonde bangs. Yes, you heard that right!
The Golden Bachelorette continues Wednesdays at 8/7 c on ABC.
