During the season finale, the Real Housewives of Orange County ladies had their season wrapped up in a nice, neat bow. Well, for the most part. As viewers know, Shannon Beador had quite the Season 18 as she fought to course-correct her DUI charges. She also had to stay mentally strong to tolerate Alexis Bellino and John Janssen. But one finale scene at Jennifer Pedranti’s engagement party left fans disgruntled with the Real for Real founder as they questioned where her manners had gone after ambushing Katie Ginella’s husband Matt.
Shannon Beador was not kind to Matt Ginella
During the Season 18 finale, Shannon lost her marbles for a second and mistook a friend for a foe. For some inexplicable reason, Shannon found herself in a feud with Matt. Cameras caught Shannon storming off from the group after Tamra Judge said nothing. But in some way, she really pierced Shannon’s skin, causing her to lose her cool. As Shannon stormed towards the bar, Matt asked, “What happened?” It was clear that the golfer was extending an olive branch, but he was met with a sharp tongue and a misunderstanding. The mother of three responded, “I used to say all the time, ‘I’m done,’ and then I’d come back. When I say I’m done now, I mean it. I’m done.” Matt then gave some pretty sound advice, noting, “Maybe it’s time to walk away ’cause I care about you, and you’ve been kind to me.”

But for an unknown reason, Matt’s words of wisdom set Shannon off. She shrieked, “That angers me that you say that because you don’t know me at all, and I am probably the strongest person here in this group.” Matt quizzically asked, “Then why are you here with me right now, telling me that you are melting down?” Shannon couldn’t keep quiet as she asked, “Are you trying to argue with me right now?” But Matt had the receipts as he pointed out, “You just tried to argue with me. You’re the one here. I’m standing here by myself.”
Shannon ended the conversation feeling like the victim, noting, “Have a good night. Are you kidding me right now?” All season, Shannon had begged for people to stand up for her, but the moment she did, she couldn’t see that it was an act of kindness. Shannon was rude and frankly stuck up, as she acted as if all she wanted was for somebody to nod their head in agreement. And it seems other Real Housewives of Orange County viewers took note.
RHOC fans clap back at Shannon Beador’s bad attitude
Real Housewives of Orange County viewers wasted no time calling out Shannon. Directly after the Season 18 finale, fans took to social media to complain about Shannon’s rude interaction. One viewer noted, “Okay, I love Shannon, but he is 1 million percent correct on this. She came out to him. He was minding his own business. And he made valid points that she couldn’t handle.” Another joked, “Shannon, pull yourself together. You are becoming hard to watch.”
It makes sense that fans were upset by Matt’s treatment. Frankly, he didn’t deserve Shannon’s anger. She was mad at John, Alexis, and Tamra. Matt was just collateral damage. In reality, Matt was showing kindness, but Shannon was so braced for an attack that she forgot what a nice man looks like. Even other Real Housewives thought Shannon was wrong. Erika Jayne spoke out on Two Ts in a Pod, noting, “Shannon, you lost me here. You didn’t deserve that. And I did not like the way Shannon twisted this. And it’s not cool. Which gives Tamra fuel.” It is hard to see where Shannon has improved upon herself since her DUI, but I hope she can clarify her stance at the reunion.
