Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is almost here. And this season is centered around two high-profile splits: Kyle Richards’ separation from Mauricio Umansky, and Dorit Kemsley’s separation from hubby PK Kemsley. In the past, Kyle and Dorit were thick as thieves. However, this season looks like they are at war, with the first strike coming at BravoCon.
Kyle Richards claims that Dorit Kemsley’s behavior at BravoCon made her “question our friendship”
In the season trailer, fans were stunned to see Dorit and Kyle viciously arguing. Their co-star, Sutton Stracke, weighed in on the verbal smackdown. “My thoughts were, ‘Let’s not have the police called on us,’” Sutton remarked. “I’m going to keep you on pins and needles because it was wild.”
Recently, Kyle chatted with Justin Sylvester of E! News. “This trailer is sending shockwaves through the fan base. No one saw you and Dorit fighting like this ever in your friendship. Where did things go wrong?” Justin asked.
“You know, it actually started at BravoCon. There was a few things that happened in BravoCon that just made me question our friendship,” Kyle explained. “And then comments she made on Watch What Happens Live. It was all off-the-show stuff. So, it just put us in a different place actually,” the actress added.
Next, Justin asked Kyle about her texting relationship with PK. “Well, Garcelle [Beauvais] says in this clip that PK has been texting you. People online are thinking that you’re having an affair with PK,” the host said.
Kyle responded, “I can’t. I can’t. I really can’t. There was also rumors about Dorit and Mauricio which was so stupid and it came from just how they hugged when she was burglarized. I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh,'” she stated. “You know, it was actually, of course, after being friends for 10 years, I have text messages with PK.”
She continued, “But they were referring to DMs of memes, which we’ve always done. Even if Dorit and I’ve had issues before, PK always stays out of it.”

Then Justin asked Kyle if she and Dorit had grown closer because of their similar marital issues. “Clearly not,” she said with a laugh. “Well, I went into the season wanting very much to repair things right out of the gate because of that, you know, we’re both going through similar situations.”
Kyle added, “And I thought this is ridiculous to … have this negative energy between us instead of leaning on each other during this time. And you know, Mau and PK are best friends. So I’m like, why are we in this situation? We should also be leaning on each other.”
Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres on Tuesday, November 19 at 8/7c on Bravo.
