Survivor 47 is heating up with only 10 castaways left in the game. Now that the merge phase has begun, the competition is really on. Everyone is out for themselves and tribe loyalty is a thing of the past. We’re getting down to the wire, so let’s take a look at the players left in the game and decipher who could win it all.

Here are the players I think have the best (and worst) shot at winning Survivor 47…

Genevieve – Could win Survivor 47

At this point in the game, Genevieve Mushaluk is my winner’s pick. I’ve been impressed with her gameplay so far and I think she has what it takes to make it to the end.

She flew under the radar at first, allowing bigger personalities in the Lavo tribe to do her bidding. Her alliance with Rome Cooney kept her safe, seeing as she had Lavo’s most unpredictable player in her back pocket and used him to do her dirty work.

Unlike him, she didn’t isolate any members of her tribe. Everyone trusted her and wanted to work with her, which is not an easy feat. She played it safe at first but when the opportunity to take out a major social threat presented itself, she took it. Kishan Patel would still be in the game if not for Genevieve. She looked at the tribe dynamics and realized getting rid of Rome wasn’t in her best interest. From there, she flipped the vote and orchestrated Kishan’s blindside. Genius.

Once the tribes disbanded, Genevieve was determined to make the merge. She found an advantage that gave her a leg up in the first challenge and gave her access to the merge feast. In the second Immunity Challenge, she (along with Teeny) won safety for her team, protecting them from Tribal Council.

One of Genevieve’s most impressive qualities is her adaptability. She protected Rome when it was advantageous for her, but when he became too much of a liability, she cut him loose. She replaced him with Andy Rueda, who, like Rome, was looking for someone to trust.

She’s made some big moves but has also managed her threat level. She doesn’t seem to be on anyone’s radar. I would be more than happy with a Genevieve win.

Kyle – No chance at winning Survivor 47

I like Kyle Ostwald but I don’t see a win in his future. He’s won Individual Immunity two weeks in a row, which will raise a few eyebrows. He’s proven to be a physical threat and that kind of player usually doesn’t do so hot once the merge arrives. Now that it’s an individual game, there’s no reason to keep a player like him around.

To make matters worse, he lost his number one ally last week. Tiyana Hallums’ shocking elimination put Kyle in grave danger. If Tuku needs to offer a sacrificial lamb, it will be Kyle’s head on a stick. There is no way Caroline Vidmar, Sue Smey, and Gabe Ortis are turning on each other.

I don’t see a clear path to the end for him unless he puts in some serious work. He’s a great player, so I hope he’s up for the task but we’ll have to see.

Andy Rueda – (Surprisingly) could win Survivor 47

Let’s be honest, Andy’s game has been insane. He had a public meltdown at the first challenge, left his Shot in the Dark lying around in plain sight, and walked away from an Immunity Idol for no reason. I know, I know, but Survivor loves an underdog. It is a miracle Andy is still there and that has to count for something, right?

He’s not playing a brilliant game but he’s also not a total idiot. He knows he’s at the bottom and he’s taking steps to change his trajectory in the game. He’s formed alliances with Genevieve, Sam Phalen, and Sierra Wright, who all have a vested interest in protecting him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Andy is still in the game come finale night.

Sue Smey – no chance at winning Survivor 47

It pains me to say Sue has no chance at winning but I just don’t see it. She hasn’t played a bad game by any means. She’s done quite well in challenges and even found an Immunity Idol. However, her relationship with Gabe will be the death of her. Her loyalty to him is perplexing. She won’t even entertain flipping on him. If she goes to the end with him, he will take credit for every move she made and she’ll walk away without a single jury vote. If she wants a shot at the million, she needs to send him off to Ponderosa.

I wish I had more confidence in her but I haven’t been impressed so far. She acts annoyed when players want to talk strategy, which infuriates me. THIS IS SURVIVOR!!!

Teeny – Could win Survivor 47

It’s easy to root for Teeny Chirichillo. She’s played a great social game and last week, she won safety for her entire team, which is sure to earn her some brownie points.

She’s a superfan, so I feel confident she won’t stray away from big moves but unlike some players (cough, cough Rome), I trust she will be able to play the game without becoming enemy number one. I think she’s someone people would be excited to vote for in the end. Survivor can be a bit of a popularity contest and Teeny is the people’s princess. I would be satisfied with a Teeny win.
