He’s here! Candiace Dillard Bassett and Chris Bassett welcomed their little one into the world, and his name is Jett Maxwell Lee. Candiace is officially a mom, and it looks great on her.
The Real Housewives of Potomac alum looked happier than ever in a new series of photos showing off her bundle of joy, and now she and her hubby are already itching for more.
Welcome to the world, Jett!
Like most reality stars, Candiace announced the birth of her baby via People. It’s almost like a rite of passage to have your kid debut in a People exclusive, and Baby Jett is right in the spotlight.
“He is just the cutest little thing,” Candiace dished. “Chris and I couldn’t be happier. It’s so cliché to say, but he’s brought such joy to our lives in ways I never would have been able to describe before. It’s pure love!”
The couple officially welcomed Jett into the world on Thursday, October 3. They’re just a month into this, but Candiace is already excited about their future. It’s a big shift from the last time we saw her on RHOP when she was in tears fighting with her castmates.
“I just look at him and envision all the adventures we’re going to have,” Candiace said. “Throughout my pregnancy, when I would talk to him in my stomach, I would say, ‘I can’t wait to see who you’re going to be.’ And that’s been the joy in my heart that’s continued after his birth.”
On The Real Housewives of Potomac, we watched Candiace struggle with the decision of when to start her family with Chris. First, she felt concerned it would interrupt her budding music career. Then, Candiace’s IVF treatments proved to be another challenge. She finally announced her pregnancy just days after exiting RHOP. Now, she’s feeling excited about the future, and hopefully expanding her brood even further.
“Oh, I wish I started sooner because I already want more,” Candiace admitted. “And that’s a shocking feeling to admit because I hesitated and was afraid and doubted myself for so long. All of those circumstances around becoming a mom, like being pregnant, raising a child, etc.? It really scared me. But it’s been everything and more. I love it.”
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs new episodes on Bravo on Sundays at 8/7c.
