Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills arrives next week, introducing us to a new full-time diamond clutcher in Bozoma Saint John. Bozoma (aka Boz) is a baddie in the boardroom. She has many high-ranking positions listed on her resume. Therefore, filming for the Real Housewives series was a walk in the park (somewhat), as the moves one must make to survive are similar to the many business boardrooms she has encountered thus far.
When I say Bozoma is impressive, I mean it. Her resume includes a high-ranking position at Netflix, where she was the first Black C-Level executive. Bozoma also held several prior high-ranking gigs at PepsiCo, iTunes, and Apple Music. Her business, political, and philanthropic works are so impressive that Harvard Business School published a case study on her career.
Filming for RHOBH is like another day in the boardroom, states Bozoma Saint John
I cannot wait to see what Bozoma brings to this cast. She is highly skilled in business negotiations and nay-sayers in the workplace. At the launch of her new haircare and wig brand, Eve by Boz, Bozoma spoke to US Weekly. In their chat, she explained how her experiences in business prepared her for her latest career venture: reality television.
Bozoma does not “bow down to anybody” since she has “always been in rooms where people felt like they were more powerful than her. This feeling is her norm, which Bozoma explains is “the unfortunate part of being a Black woman. It doesn’t matter what room you walk into. It’s [as if] people think they are better than you,” she explained.
But Bozoma is a “champion of diversifying spaces.” She hopes to do this very thing on RHOBH. Bozoma is ready to lend her presence to a series she has “obviously highly watched, highly anticipated, [and] highly fanned over.” “But the other ladies better mind their steps, as Bozoma knows she has a powerful voice inside her.
Bozoma is not afraid of filming, however, as “They’re messier in the boardroom than they are on this damn show, OK?” she joked. “The kind of drag-out fights, the shade, the office politics, the passive aggression, and the shade, I say, is way stronger in the boardrooms [than on RHOBH].” Thankfully, Bozoma is well-equipped to speak to her costars directly “so that people don’t mess with” her. She’s “had 25 years of preparation to meet these women,” she stressed.
Bring it on, Bozoma. You already have a fan in me.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 hits Bravo on November 19 at 8/9c.
