Report: Artem Chigvintsev Wants Full Dancing with the Stars Comeback

TW: This article contains discussions of alleged domestic violence in which a child was present.

Artem Chigvintsev wasn’t asked to grace the ballroom for Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars. Last season, he competed with Bachelorette star Charity Lawson. They took fourth place. While some disturbing allegations were leveled against Artem, he is allegedly ready for a DWTS comeback.

Will Artem Chigvintsev return to DWTS?

Artem was arrested on August 29, 2024, for alleged corporal injury to a spouse. In the end, the District Attorney decided not to charge Artem. However, his wife, Nikki Garcia, filed for divorce. Now the former duo will likely battle for custody of their son, Matteo.

Meanwhile, Artem claimed in court papers that he lost other social media offers and dancing jobs because of his arrest. He claims that his lost income totaled $100,000.

Anyway, Artem attended the DWTS 500th episode party. He was there, clapping and dancing with his friends, DWTS alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and his wife, Peta Murgatroyd.

Still, Artem would like to be back as part of the DWTS cast. Ilona Antonyan, Artem’s attorney, advised TMZ, that DWTS producers haven’t reached out to him about joining the line-up for next season, but he’d love to return if they’re open to it.

And Artem was allegedly invited to the 500th episode celebration by one of the executive producers of DWTS. So, if that is the case, then Artem’s return might not be impossible. Plus, he has a lot of friends on the cast who support him. The real question is, will the DWTS viewers welcome him back after his arrest and Nikki’s allegations?

According to Ilona, for now, Artem is working in construction, but will always dance because that is his true passion in life. I guess we will see what next season of DWTS brings.

Dancing with the Stars Season 33 airs on Tuesdays, at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+.
