Life is wild for Teddi Mellencamp these days. Her marriage to Edwin Arroyave has been torn apart thanks to an affair with her horse trainer, and now, she just had a super awkward close call with the horse trainer’s estranged wife.
Of course, the horse trainer’s ex, Karli Postel, is also a horse person. We’re convinced that this saga of adulterous equestrians is slowly becoming more intriguing than anything Teddi ever did on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
An awkward day at the races for Teddi Mellencamp
We can thank Daily Mail for the latest scoop on the horse girl drama, but first, let’s set the stage. A lot has happened in a very short amount of time.
In case you missed it, Karli found out that her husband, Simon Schröeder, had been having an affair with John Mellencamp’s daughter after allegedly finding text messages between the two. It all blew up right after Karli gave birth to their second child.
With that in mind, you can imagine how awkward it must have been with both ladies showed up at the 2024 Las Vegas National Horse Show. According to the outlet, Teddi was there to watch her daughter participate in the competition. Karli was there to watch the action as well, and she actually won a $25,000 prize earlier in the week.
An insider at the races confirmed that they didn’t interact. Photos showed both of them sitting in the stands, among rows and rows of empty seats. Teddi was slouched down and wrapped in a blanket, seemingly trying to keep a low profile. The Daily Mail insider said she looked “strained.”
“The reality star looked strained while sitting in the stands while Postel had a face of thunder as she watched the riders from just yards away,” the outlet claimed.
We hope that Teddi can have a “face of thunder” soon, but it’s definitely going to take some time. She’s requesting primary custody of their three kids, but Edwin is seeking joint legal and physical custody. This is just the beginning of a long and complicated journey,
