Kody Brown and Robyn Brown have been living as a monogamous couple for some time now. The duo made it pretty clear early on that they only had eyes for each other and no one wife or, in this case, three other spouses would stand in their way. On their move to Flagstaff, Robyn and Kody purchased a spacious home while some of the other Sister Wives stars rented. But after years of strife, the duo finally sold their woodland Arizona mansion.

Kody Brown tried to sell the house in the summer

The large Sister Wives house was originally put up for sale on August 29th. Summer is usually the best time to buy as kids are out of school and families are ready to move. According to Zillow, the house was listed for $1,650,000. The house on 9508 W Hashknife Trl had five bedrooms and sat on quite a large piece of land. The listing shared that “this stunning 4-bathroom home offers unparalleled privacy and breathtaking views. Backing the National Forest on a picturesque 2-acre lot, this home is truly one of a kind.” Sister Wives viewers instantly recognized the interior from the TLC series. The listing continued, “As you approach, the heated driveway welcomes you, providing a luxurious entrance to your own private retreat. The main level features a primary bedroom with a luxurious, spa-like en-suite bathroom, complete with a large dual-head shower and built-in shelving in the walk-in closet.”

The description ended by reading, “The heart of the home is the huge kitchen. Enjoy outdoor living on the huge partially covered deck that spans across the living room, dining room, and primary bedroom. Imagine soaking in breathtaking views of the Flagstaff Peaks while sipping your morning coffee.” However, shortly after the home was advertised, the listing was taken down in October.

Why did Kody Brown take the house off the market?

There was much speculation among Sister Wives fans that the house was taken off the market so the patriarch could resolve Christine Brown’s lawsuit. Only days after being hit with the legal papers did the listing go dark. Christine had sued Kody for child support and custody of their 14-year-old daughter. The lawsuit was filed on September 16 and showed that Kody’s third wife was asking for full custody of Truely Brown. I’m sure the news felt like a punch in the guts to Kody, who has constantly complained about feeling betrayed. The mother of six also requested the court to establish paternity for her youngest daughter.

The reason behind this last step is that Kody isn’t listed on the birth certificate since, at the time, it would have put him in danger of being arrested. Christine didn’t stop there and also requested a domestic relations injunction that would stop “both parties from harassment, domestic violence, taking the children for nonroutine travel without court orders or permission, canceling or modifying services, and demeaning or disparaging the other party.” So I imagine that at the time Kody was trying to sell his house, he might have been preoccupied.

The Sister Wives house is sold

In Touch reported that the famed family home was officially sold on November 4 for $1,775,000. Before the house was officially sold, the outlet shared that Kody and Robyn had purchased a new home through their Revocable trust, White Stone Trust, on October 24. The trust was formed in 2023. This type of trust doesn’t protect the homeowner from creditors, child support claims, or liens. It means Christine must add White Stone Trust to her lawsuit to ensure he doesn’t leave with assets. Sadly, it looks like the new home will play a big role in his lawsuit.

The outlet learned that Kody had hired a lawyer and filed a response. The couple splashed cash on this abode, which cost $2.1 million. The new home boasts a 7,884-square-foot floor plan and includes six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. According to the listing, the new home was built in 2002 and has a seven-car garage, RV, and a guest house. Kody and Robyn have definitely upgraded, as the property has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. But what are the odds they find solace?
