Summer House Season 9 hasn’t aired yet. But it’s clearly going to be the season of Lindsay Hubbard’s pregnancy. As ever with this cast, there will be themed parties. And in a sneak peek for the new season, Kyle Cooke tries a contraction simulator with hilarious results.
Whereas fans watched Season 8 for her breakup with Carl Radke, this time around, it’s Lindsay’s bump that takes center stage. Even her co-stars revealed that they rallied around her this past summer and that her pregnancy changed the whole dynamic. But the group never has trouble having fun.
Kyle Cooke was a good sport about getting the loser’s punishment
In the sneak peek, Lindsay is directing the group in an activity. She’s wearing a bump-revealing outfit, and very much has a pregnancy glow.
“The winner gets to put the contraction simulator on the losing team. And the losers are Kyle and Paige [DeSorbo],” she said.
The unfortunate duo set themselves up for the simulation. Professional model Ciara Miller got to administer the punishment.
The ensuing footage showed the Loverboy founder in various states of distress, and uttering a series of profanity-laced exclamations. Naturally, Paige did not have such a hard time with the exercise.
“I’m scared. Dude you’re like a mad scientist over there,” he told Ciara in between “contractions.” His wife, Amanda Batula was very much amused by the spectacle.
Hilariously, Paige shook her head when Jesse Solomon asked if it hurt.
It does speak for what’s to come this season and how the cast incorporated Lindsay’s pregnancy into the activities. The life event also had an impact emotionally though.
For one, Paige previously spoke about using her friend’s condition as an excuse to lounge in bed. But Kyle teased how being around a pregnant Lindsay made him rethink delaying having children with Amanda.
