After Luann de Lesseps went viral for a story about how she was “making out heavily” with Hugh Grant, the English actor has weighed in with his side of the story, or lack thereof.
When Luann originally shared the story about her experience with Hugh, she said one of her girlfriends tipped her off that he was at a restaurant in the Hamptons. Immediately, Lu put on her best statement necklace and got a table right next to his. A few shots later, they were supposedly in each other’s mouths. However, Hugh says he doesn’t remember any of it.
What happens in the Hamptons, stays in the Hamptons
Hilariously, Hugh took to his X/Twitter to respond to the claims the Countess made about their time together. Based on the way he wrote his response, it seems like this might be the first time he’s ever heard of The Real Housewives of New York.
“Steady on. I do remember meeting a charming RHNY [sic] in a restaurant, but I’d like to stress it was about 15 years ago,” Hugh wrote. “I don’t recall shots or kissing but her memory might be better than mine.”
The funny thing about taking shots is that eventually, you stop recalling the shots that you took. Hugh knows this. Luann definitely knows this. We all know this. However, the ladies of RHONY never forget a famous hookup. Steady on, we prefer Luann’s side of the story.
