Vanderpump Rules has given us 11 seasons of drama. However, things have grown stale in recent years. For starters, the cast members have (mostly) evolved into adults who no longer fight shirtless in strip mall parking lots. But also, most of these main characters are not even friends anymore, which makes for frustrating whole-group scenes.
Rumors were swirling that this might be the final farewell season for this series, and now we know the truth. At this time, there will be a reported retrospective special with the OG cast, so viewers will have their closure. Had there been a Season 12 of Pump Rules, this is what we would have needed to see.
The rumored farewell “special” of VPR should remain genuine and kind
The last time we saw this cast, they were at each other’s throats. At the Season 11 reunion, Lala Kent was “livid” at Ariana Madix. Lala felt like Ariana refused to film her truths. In contrast, Ariana explained that rehashing old arguments felt fake, but Lala disagreed, as she thought Ariana needed to mention it all.
But I agree with Ariana here. Had Ariana brought her grievances to light on Bravo, they wouldn’t have made any sense. She and Katie Maloney had already made up, so what’s the point, Lala? A fake storyline?
In the now-defunct final season of VPR, the storylines needed to remain authentic, showing how each member of this cast is starting to move forward in their lives.
The cameras could have shown Something About Her. As their lines grow, Katie and Ariana will be inside, running their dreamy sandwich shop like boss b*tches. In her confessional, Ariana might have touched on the challenges that they have faced while also revealing how she juggles her career on Broadway, her bi-coastal relationship, and, of course, her new house. Likewise, Katie might have been able to show off her new man and apartment while Tom Schwartz popped in for a sandwich, showing these exes will remain kind post-filming.
Then, the cameras could have headed over to Schwartz and Sandy’s. Oops! No, they won’t because S&S is also dead like the cast of VPR. Tom Sandoval and Schwartz blew it and that’s all we need to say here.
Following this, production might have checked in on James Kennedy and Ally Lewber. They are delightful, and we need updates.
Same with Scheana Shay and Brock Davies. What are their next steps?

Zero forced interactions would have been needed in the final season of Vanderpump Rules
After the Season 11 reunion wrapped, Lala and Ariana remained at odds. Also, Katie and Lala are still not tight, and no one is friendly with Rachel Leviss anymore. Additionally, Brock caught a few stray eye rolls as he tried to mansplain to Ariana about her lack of support shown to Sandoval and Scheana, even though Ariana is still clearly hurt by her ex’s actions.
Overall, VPR felt forced and it was a big nail in the coffin. Some of these people hate each other. It made for bad television, even though the drama was addictive.

Close your eyes. Picture Stassi Schroeder fighting with Jax in the back alley at SUR. Jax cheated, so Stassi is giving him the business. Fast forward to her book signing, where she is again reading a man down, but this time, it’s Sandoval. Currently, Jax and Stassi’s kids would be playing in the parking lot together.
Here comes mom-to-be Kristen Doute in her green dress, now maternity, ready to move on with her new man and bundle of joy. Brittany Cartwright, on her own, and on her way to her own namesake bar across the street.
Maybe even Miami Girl can show up so everyone can apologize to her for being right all along.
As the curtains close, Lisa Vanderpump should narrate a final, VPR flashback-filled scene
When Season 11 wrapped, a narrated, flashback-filled scene transpired.
Lala narrated the bulk of this final scene. However, Katie and Ariana had a few notes to add on. Sadly, all three of their spoken narrations specified a heavily divided cast, which, if you think about it, suggests that a cliffhanger might lie just ahead.
The official ending should wrap things up completely, focusing less on the fractions within this group and more on their futures post-filming. There is no one better for this job than Lisa Vanderpump.
